More like: the southern rural extreme poor whites which make up a near majority of welfare recipients are likely to be lower educated, and to have more volatile (seasonal) or lower wage jobs. And once they get a taste of that gummint cheese, mmmm golly! Ain't no goin back. 

My taxes pay for them to sit on their ass and complain that walmart won't hire them full time.

FWIW, i don't begrudge the poor their 5 bucks a day welfare. That ain't what my taxes are really going to anyway. Fight the war, or stop the war.

Spending is the only thing that ever ended a depression or deep recession. Usually military. And that's where most of the debt came from. And, believe it or not, tax cuts. 

Not the poor white people in the south on the proverbial "take" who are the majority of the welfare class.

Tony, I'm not whining about anything but people that distort reality.  I'm a happy godless person cursed with empathy and belief in research, data and the scientific method.  And I like cats, cars, guns, Q and getting drunk as a skunk and, nuclear power.

It's not the having money that's the problem - it's the throwing it away part that's bothersome.  That bill for our land war/safari in the Muddle East - it's like paying $60k a year for your kid to go to an Ivy League school and take 12 years only to major in fvcking paint by numbers.
