@YukonRon As corny as it sounds, I do believe it is light that takes away darkness. When we all care a little more about our neighbors and show a bit of kindness the world becomes a better place. Thanks for reminding us all that it's not that hard to be a good friend. That family is lucky to have you as a friend. They are also fortunate that you are a good cook :)

Making some chicken vegetable soup, with egg noodles, utilizing chicken roasted on the BGE. I am making this to help a family dealing with much more than they need.

We have a friend who is going through chemo, and needs a couple breaks, to go her way. Her oldest son is getting married in June, and she is determined to see it.

    We are determined to help.

Her first exposure to chemo was two weeks ago. Her second is today. She has 6 more to get through, hopefully, she will make it. She is a fighter, but occasionally, the opponent is just as determined.

We have been doing a lot of cooking for her, her husband, and son. They are a family that is struggling right now. We plan on doing a lot more, anything really, to help.

Such a brave woman. Such a great family. Such good friends.

As brutal as this may appear, this is a reminder of how precious life is. Take some time out of your day and share your appreciation to those you love.

You really never know what is next.
Your acts of kindness are what defines you Ron.

My Healthcare plan is doing something similar as well. We get breaks and paybacks for all kinds of activities. I believe the trend is here to stay.
They also require you to have counseling, if you are a smoker, and wish to use their health care plan.

Cleaning out closets and came across this gem. Spitzer Race Cars Comp Eliminator chassis, 421 SBC. Ran 4.90's in the 1/8 mile which was balls fast in 2002ish. Coworker was the driver. Lots of time, money, and fun.

Nichole marinated some poke chops and made some great stuffed mushrooms (garlic, parm, thyme, bread crumbs).  All I did was man the MM and eat well.

How much longer until you let Nicole operate the BGEs? Seems like your plan is working. Pretty soon, you might just be the mixer and pourer?

we have uhc as well.  My wife does something called rally? You do activies and enter them in the ap, you get points and can use them for drawings.  We got a new kitchen aide a few years ago.  Also things like annual physicals etc get us gift cards that equate to a few hundred a year.  I already wear an Apple Watch so I am going to look into this as well.

Ok let's see if I have this right.  You are slowly even subliminaly training Nichole to become the "master baster" in the family?
