I mean, I want that loaf like Gollum wanted the ring. Didn't think I needed to explain that...
Sorry.  Still Don't understand.  Who is Gollum and what does a ring have to do with bread.
You haven't read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy? OK, whatever...

Read?  I thought they were movies.  Did someone write a movie tie in novel?
It involves words on paper. It's a difficult concept to some, but it does work.

@DMW ..... I was just fvcking with you.  As soon as I saw Gollum I kept repeating "my precious" while drooling over that loaf.

Cook from last night. I did sausages and jerk chicken thighs for the boys (this is what is left over), then roasted some cauliflower to make the cauliflower cheese and finally roasted some butternut squash. It was nice to be cooking in better weather as well!

Just heard that Michael Smith is leaving the 6pm SportsCenter.  Appears that it's his choice.

ESPN's creative direction has been...um...interesting...over the last couple of years.

@johnnyp - That 6 PM SC slot has definitely undergone a lot of change in the short life-span.  Format changes, Jamele Hill departure now Michael Smith.  Wonder who's gonna get the host job.

They just seem to be repeating a failed process.  The Colin Cowherd driven SportsNation was a bust, and they had to change the format.  SVP's ratings aren't great.  Michael and Jamele had a great thing going pre-SC6.  Most recently they've broken up Mike and Mike to give Mike Greenberg the morning SportsCenter spot.

It seems to me that these personality driven shows have dedicated niche markets, but lack the widespread appeal to have staying power.   But, what do I know?  Somebody gets paid big $$$ to do that.

Did some Sous Vide and and Egged fajitas last night.
Looks like flank steak?  How was the texture of that done SV?  I have a skirt steak (vacio) Ima put on today and thought about doing it via SV.  Prob just do a quick grill on the XL.
@thetrim dude I just saw this, my bad. So I did a little experiment with the sous vide since I had a two pack of flank steak. I did this one for 24 hours on 131. Lower and longer has shown more like a pot roast, and anything less or hotter and I don't feel like it really breaks it down. Then I just seared it on the MM.

I think it's much better in the sous vide than just hot direct or in a CI. (well, at least for fajitas. I hate having to tear the meat after you bite into a taco and done this way it has a lot less of that going on)

I wasn't a real big Greeny fan until Trey came along.  He tries a little too hard, and the "As Chandler Bing used to say on Friends...." drives me nuts.  Hey, is it Friday yet?

Thanks for the feedback!  I just did mine on the grill.  I got a hold of a couple of other skirt steaks this week that I might try that way next week once some travel settles down.

Packing with the wife is always a chore.  But we’ll be out of town for a week, so that is fantastic.

Few days with the in laws, few days for our daughter’s first visit to one of our favorite cities, and then a few more days with the in laws.  Nice to have 8 days away from home.

I was thinking the same. I had 2 guys paint our dealership and it’s 12,000 square feet and it was done in a week.
