These killed.  One of those cooks that makes you wonder why you waited so long to try it.
@JohnInCarolina  Details please.  Cube up a belly, apply rub and cook?

What temp and about how long?

I pretty much followed the recipe here:

So easy, and so so good!

@JohnInCarolina - great result.  And living in pork country I'm confident another pork belly burnt ends convert.
    Nailed that finish.  Most eggcellent.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I've done pork belly a few other times, with different recipes.  Always came out pretty good, but not what I would call great.  Maybe I just got lucky with these but they were legit amazing.

Late dinner - wings on, glad I sv'd them earlier.  Sitting outside, frogs singing and enjoying the last week last week of the Dead channel on SiriusXM free trial.  Damn, may have to pop for a subscription.
    Love you bro!

@legume just make sure if you have it in your car, there aren't a lot of t mobile towers.  Apparently they cause outages.  Seems to be getting worse and worse around here.

Good tip. Wife's car, but the 3 month trial comes with access via the app so I get to use it wherever I am.  I haven't had any issues but don't know if there are any T-Mobile towers around, they're pink, right?

Mixed results with the SV wings.  Great flavor, not as intense as I had hoped, but they were only in the bath for 4 hours.  Grilling them was a challenge - really gummy and tough to get crispy without burning.  I dried them off after the bath and added a little rub and corn starch, but they were kind of a mess on the grill.  Wife ate a cool dozen, that's never happened before, she's usually only good for a half dozen.  The meat texture was great, need to sort out the skin.

Watching the Bob Ross of BBQ overcook the sh!t out of a leg of Kenyan lamb via kettle rotisserie on Primal Grill.

Typically other faculty in the hard sciences and engineering.  NSF puts together a panel of folks, and they'll review a slate of 10-15 proposals where ours will be one of them.

@JohnInCarolina - Were you invited to submit?  As you well know, that's the inside track in the grant business.  But what an admin ordeal to complete the package, unless it has been cleaned up in the past couple of years.  Best of luck.

I hear there's a woman over in the medical lab that is really good at getting grant money. Maybe she can help.  ;)

Watching these news anchors squirm trying to cover the Harvey Weinstein fiasco. Can't beat down one of their own. Totally different narrative than when Trump was caught trash talking on tape. Trump never pulled out his junk. The hypocrisy is mind blowing.

Even the blowhards at SNL were silent.

That is true for many agencies, but much less so with NSF.  NSF is actually the most "democratic" of all funding agencies in that way.  If you have a good idea for a project and a strong proposal, eventually you'll probably get it funded.  A lot comes down to having some luck with the panel.

I'd happily respond to this, but I think we've all tried to keep the politics off this board.  Just saying...

I just bought my six year old granddaughter a new box of crayons (the BIG box!) if you need any graphics to submit with your proposal.

All we have to do in the private sector is provide ROI projections, backed with a thesis, defend the position, amongst my peers (which can be a real prick identification mechanism) and apply for patent (if necessary), develop, hit the numbers, modify for opportunities in other markets, and repeat.

Good luck John, hoping the results become beneficial for you and your team.

John, please keep this between us.  I just watched a documentary.   When wearing MITS, the granular media will always result in a hydrocapillary fracture.  The only exception is when the granular media is exposed first to an flux capacitor.  In this case, if it reaches 88mph in a defined area it can result in time travel.
