Offshore fishing is called off for tomorrow as they are calling for 5-8 foot seas. Inshore, this has been the worst year that I can remember in the last 12. Nobody is catching anything.  Result: staying home.
What am I going to do? For those of you who remember me starting to reface my woodshed with stone last year in the fall, tomorrow is the day I will finish it.

    I can not freaking wait.

I am so excited, that I had to type it here and tell you guys.

    Yep, I am that excited!!!

    No way!
I did mine and finished Christmas day as my wife was sick on the couch.
If I see any kind of mastic/mortar/cement in the next 6 months, it will be too soon.

As the punch-line goes "Cheaper to keep her" and depending on where you are in life that is definitely true.  I believe the sliding scale tilts that phrase to those of us who have been in the relationship for a few decades.  No matter how you frame it -someone is gonna get hosed.

Just noticed the faucet in our basement bathroom is dripping. Probably needs a new cartridge. I hate plumbing, even the easy stuff.

Pulled a @DMW .... 3am big mac multipack.  Love being in a country with unhealthy food available 24/7.

I used Rockwood lump for the first time yesterday. My next order from Firecraft will be enough to get the free shipping. Very nice.

Found out we should be getting a new Costco about 15 minutes away, just a couple of miles away from the Wegmans we got last fall.  Very happy that we now have all the places we shop regularly close enough (and away from Beltway traffic) to stop in after work.

Went from a gnarly 1960 faux chimney to a hidden one.  They booted it, and took off just enough not to hinder draft.

Dug out crew lead's $200 Stilletto  $200 titanium hammer from the attic where it fell in.  Trimmed up, all that is left are the snow rails on order.  Midwest Roofing crushed it.
Wow that looks good! That has to feel good getting that done.

sous vide 'sperimenting and catching up on things around the house.  just a couple of chicken breasts with a small pat of butter, one dusted with DP Jamaican Firewalk and the other with DP Mole.  not sure what form they'll take for lunch, but I'll have to eat them in the name of science.

@theyolksonyou I can sympathize with you... Of all the different technicians I rotate with at work ... I have one that just grinds my gears EVERY TIME...
so I preload my guy with scrambled eggs and jalapeños before each shift i have to work with her...
He sleeps under my desk and in return keeps her out of my office unless it's absolutely necessary
