Oh, I didn't think the Indians had helicopters.  I thought we beat them back in the 1600-1700s?

Decided to let the kids air out in the bed after the party, illegal in IL, but we did it growing up in trucks all the time.  Got nailed by a young cop who chased me down lights on through a bunch of traffic.  Insurance card at home.  Had the boys hop in the cab and buckle up while he was in his car runnin' my name.  Handed me my license and said "you're good to go".  No lecture, no warning, nothin'.  Asked the boys if they were scared.  My son replies, "Yeah, I thought I was goin' to juvie". Lmao
"And it was embarassing Dad, everybody looked at us."
Came clean with my nephew's Ma, will tell the ex tomorrow, before he tells her.  At least I taught them how to act when getting pulled over.

Back home, more boring pies, no cake, but we improvised.

    They were well recieved.

Whitey's Ice Cream Vanilla Strawberry Sundaes for the win again.
Mason thought of the brilliant idea to nap, to stay up later crossing into IA.  Here we are filling up in Davenport.  Wish I could power nap....Fockers.

Parked next to the Mystery Machine at the Drive In.  Cars 3 and Cptn Underpants were great, guy was super cool.  '96 Chevy, Pontiac rims he stripped and painted, beach towels and plywood for the door panels, shag carpet all on the interior, roof, love this sh!t.  The boys did too, and the Birthday Cake Oreos.

    Even a rainbow.

    Purdy, peaceful, IA sunset.
Drilled a fat coon outside of De Witt at 0100, poor guy second guessed himself and went back....clean hit with the left front, the Chevy train didn't even skip a heartbeat.  A little bit of everything today.  :)

Recovering from a boys trip on the lake. We didn't sink the boat, caught some bass, and drank mass quantities of beer.

Ribs on the MMX low, these were separated when we bought them. 2 and a half hours then foiled and put in the oven so the chicken could go in the Egg for an hour.

Grilled some fruit for a fruit salad. Tried grapefruit, papaya, golden Mellon, water melon, pineapple, and mango. The only ones that made the cut were the mango, pineapple, and watermelon the rest don't grill up too good.

Thanks @northGAcock. I think I have turned the corner, it was really long and rough week.

The meatloaf was really good. Not the best I've had, but pretty darn good. Served it with @The Cen-Tex Smoker's Sweet and Spicy Pickled Onions. Wow. Those things were great with the meatloaf. Also had baked potatoes and salted veggies. I'm stuffed.....

Sorry to see the teardrop go. Liked the looks of it. Curious on how much you have it listed for?
