A buddy of mine's mom died.  He flew in to Tampa from Australia and drove to NOLA with his dad.  We cooked a big meal - pulled pork, sous vide ribs, spatchcock chicken, sausage, bunch of sides.  They ate here with a bunch of people on Sunday.  Then we went out to Kenner Seafood last night.  Good people, saw some old friends.

Did a little yard work today, planted a couple of Thai hot pepper plants, now a little Gin and Tonic to finish the day off. Last weekend went over to a little dirt track in Milton Fl to watch a good friend and fishing partners step daughter race. Southern Outlaw Sprint car, a little 20 year supper cutie Morgan Turpen. Damn this gal is fast, 850 hp sprint car doing 110 mph + on a little 3/8 mile track.

I'm impressed.  Nice cars.  As far as the company goes, they stopped supporting (funding) bigotry.  I don't have a problem with them since then.

Thank you, she is sleeping now, she will be ok, just some pain and discomfort for a couple more days. Taking her home in the morning.

A near by town does a festival of lights over Christmas.  They rely on donations and volunteer labor.  My team at work donated an afternoon of labor and replaced the old incandescents with LEDs.  We did 1 of the 50 floats they have.
