Just pulled some veggies off the backwoods. Since cazzys post about using the vertical as a stick burner I have been practicing every chance I get.  Have figured out how to get a clean fire and hold 250 and I think the wood will actually be cheaper than lump. I am also cooking some stuffed peppers for me.

Wife is vegan. The pepper is stuffed with beef. Really just wanted to practice cooking with wood.

@nolaegghead They are basically hand fed babies and get lots of love and buku attention. If you whistle they come running like big puppies. I've seen the processed one's from him and they would strongly classify as Prime. They're happy big ole fellas and tasty too  
I'm gonna pick up some belly from a pig he just got back from processing for some pancetta.

Surprised SWMBO with a small boat that I picked up from craigslist in Biloxi.

Towing around 9000 pounds, the guy said it was heavy.  "You'll feel it back there".  Said the hull alone is 7000 lbs, figure 2k more in engines and trailer.  Plus it's got a full 120 gal of gas.  What kind of trailer brakes does it have? I ask.  "Nope". 

So put the truck in haul mode and made it 80 miles through the rain back home.  Terrifying.

I sure will if he's in the Grand Isle area.  I'm not dragging that thing farther than 30 miles or I'll destroy my truck.  Grand Isle is the closest entry way for me to the Gulf, and that's if I boat there from Lafite.
