Winding down after a 0610 wake up, 1.5 HR drive to the car show to meet @DoubleEgger with my 10 yr old car enthusiast, back home for 2.5 hr of baseball with said child and cooking some Korean BBQ chicken. One of the top Sundays I've had in a few months. Great day.
Another beautiful day at Tanner Pond. Shounds like you guys had a great one as well.
Wish I could've made it Robin. Hectic weekend here. Sorry about the loss to klempson.

Our place is off of Elliott Road. The property used to be part the Elliott (Bill) family farm. Bill's lake place is two doors down. Chase is by there routinely. This was taken about half way in on Elliott Rd earlier this week. Pretty funny =)

I was wondering when you sent your address. My late father was a huge fan (of Bill's). I've met him several times. Super nice guy.

@Jeremiah - the PBC can nail a chix cook.  My go-to if that's all I have on the menu.  Those look great.  And screw the presentation...It's all about the groceries.

At first I felt like a dunce not knowing who Chase Elliott was since it appeared that I should. Then I Googled him. Now I feel better. NASCAR isn't my thing.

Is there a story behind the gas can?

I'm building a cedar table to sit next to my egg.  In looking into finishes, I came across this Japanese technique for burning the cedar, then wire brushing it.  you end up with an eerie graphite patina that weatherproofs the wood - you can oil it or not after that, but you don't have to retreat, the burn seals the wood and protects it from sun and moisture.  when used on siding, this has been known to last 80+ years.  resealing a table isn't that big of a deal, but this looked like a fun experiment with benefits if it works...and fire.
@Legume ...  Just saw that process used for the first time on this TV program:

    Air date: February 7, 2017

Thought it was going to look terrible, but the finished product looked very good ... and it was used on a house boat.
Yep - my wife saw that and told me about it.  Pretty cool idea.  I burned part of a 2x4 this afternoon and wire-brushed it. I need to see it tomorrow in the light.
    Love you bro!

I was never much into NASCAR until our neighbor came on the scene.  Got our attention.  About the gas can.  Chase was leading and poised to win the Daytona 500 when he ran out of gas with 3 laps to go.

it started friday, they had the damage numbers, the salvage numbers, but not the price to replace it. they did not know what it was worth yet declared it total loss. today i get the comparables and half were not even the same vehicle, get that straightened out and they have comparables that are 200 to 600 miles away, not one in the boston area even though those exist and off course are more money :o

Maybe you should bury their premium payment under a rock out in the woods to show them how convenient it is. It's too bad, but it seems we rarely come out on the good side of things.

Good luck with whatever your future plans may be Dwayne!  If you make a move, you must carve out time for NCBB.  A long scheduled family vacation.

No way I bring the family for BB. That's a solo vacation, and non-negotiable.

At this point, it's actually not so much the money, rather show me the interesting stuff I enjoy doing.

Absolutely hate your situation. Insurance companies are not about helping you, they are all about themselves accumulating wealth, using your money. I suppose all confidence schemes do the same thing.
Let us be happy you are in good shape and not injured, or have your physical health limited due to the wreck.
Stay safe. Glad you are able to write about it.
