UK will have the most difficult draw in the tournament as always, while the the ACC gets the cupcake path as they always do. If dUKe does make the tournament, which they still may yet do, they will be given the path of least resistance as always. It is out of necessity, otherwise you would never hear of dUKe basketball. Allowing them in, will certainly cost a more deserving program, a shot in this year's tournament.
    Just how it goes.

Nice alternative facts. Citation, please. UK message boards don't count. Unless you bring up that Business Insider article where Kentucky and Dook were in the same bracket.

Otherwise, can you show us on the doll where Christian Laettner touched you?

Returning the garage to "normal" after doing a good deed for the neighborhood.  Lost power around 6:30 AM-reported the outage and a few hours later the power company had no clue as to when it may be restored (some pretty good straight line winds and T-storms rolled thru).  Went up to the fire-house to see what they knew-mentioned a major line down a couple of miles up the road.  Our subdivision indicated a separate outage problem on the outage map.
Talked with the work crew and did not come away with a good feeling.  Came home and did the phone check of the outage update.  Nothing new to report.  Planned to give them 4 hours and then fire up the portable generator.
Fired up the generator-ran the main generator supply line thru a window into the kitchen.  Rolled the fridge out of its cubby hole and as I was reaching for the plug the power came back on.  I had told the fire department chief that if I went down the generator road the power would be restored.  Next time I hold out for 5 hours.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

    I have to laugh.
I know nothing about basketball, compared to most on here, I just troll. I know Laettner.
    Back to trolling:
Let us just say, If Pelphrey would have guarded him, and Pitino would have defended the inbounds pass from the baseline, he would have been inconsiquential.
Pitino and Pelphry made he, Duke basketball, and Coach K famous. I like Rick or Pelphry far less than Christian. If you can't hit a wide open shot from the freethrow line, you should not be playing college basketball. Just saying. Average play for UK, miracle for Duke.

Well it does sound like a one sided SEC conversation... that's typically what happens when you get lost in them Kentucky hills... ACC will show all you other leagues soon what championship basketball looks like....  now I am still laughing where you even think KU gets toughest bracket.... FAKE NEWS!!!  LOL

Swore I'd never go back to the ICBM business, but today I applied for a Supervisory Engineer job at the Nuclear Weapons Center, for the "Future Systems" office.  That would be the Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (or, more simply, Minuteman IV).  Required an advanced engineering degree, SPRDE Level III, and a Top Secret clearance; check, check and check.  I've been out of the biz awhile now, but have experience in nuclear weapon safety, new weapon system acquisition, Minuteman III ops, MM III field maintenance, and MM III depot maintenance, so we'll see what happens.  If nothing else, it gets my resume in front of the NWC, who are expanding with the GBSD program and, right now, can't hire from the outside per the president.  Wish me luck!

@Botch -  best of luck however it shakes out.  Gotta admit that $$ are being thrown to the triad these days.
Taking a shot at the USN, this whining about funding the new class SSBN never should have come to this.  It's not like the end-game for hull life hasn't  been known for a couple of decades.  Responsible players should have been planning ahead instead of spending every FY $$ they got.  No excuse to be in the place we are now.  But here we are and here goes more spending.   Off soap-box now.
