    Not personally, but he's been an alderman for some time.  I'm actuall just north of the Franklin city limits, in Williamson county  - thus lower property taxes.  Franklin has ben edging pretty heavily trendy.

    Had the day off. Just got into Narcos and SWMBO calls and says her dad is in severe pain. Throwing up everywhere and passing out. Rush up there to get him to the hospital only to assess he needs an ambulance. Now at the hospital awaiting the results of some tests.

    Tomorrow is "Treat Day" at work.  I hate sweets, and xmastime brings them out in droves.
    Jalapeno Rollups:
    16 oz cream cheese, room temp
    6 oz shredded cheddar
    1 small can chopped black olives
    1 small can chopped jalapenos, or green chile, or habaneros, or whatever you feel like (I did about 1/4 cup minced pickled jalapenos, mormons are a bit sensitive)
    Stir together until thoroughly mixed, then spread across 8 large flour tortillas, roll up, and refrigerate overnight.  Next day, slice into 1" bites and watch 'em disappear.  I know I'm not the only one with a hankerin' to get away from the xmas sweets....

    Not a whole lot on the way of updates. Hospital is busy today and results are slow coming. He is one of the toughest son of a b!tches I know. A true Texan through and through, taught me everything I know about smoking and officially passed the torch of family BBQing to me. 

    To say I admire the man is an understatement.
