@NPHuskerFL -  I have hated the tomahawk chop since the Atlanta Braves days and Jane the Bit-h Fonda was hooked up with Ted.  Carries over still today. I didn't have a dog it that football fight but still enjoy when the chop goes down to defeat.

After the kiddos pigged out on carnitas we were watching Goonies.  Saw this, and said, "let's make a fire".  A doe was behind the garage and took off as we gathered wood.  Thanks for the idear.

Took the boat out today. Drove by @bgebrent 's place.  I didn't smell anything cooking on the egg so there wasn't a reason to stop.  =)

Ribs off the pit barrel cooker. Good, but not amazing. Will go a bit longer next time, and will add spritzing. Wanted to get a baseline first. Neat cooker though.

@Jeremiah -  I have had to hook 'em  and then reload a few times toward the end of the cook to get them where they would pass the toothpick test.  Always go with the feel and you will be rewarded.  But a pretty easy "fire and forget" rig.  Does a number on chix.

Glad they made it. It was my pleasure. I'll take you up on it if we make it up there.

Just watched this.  To say I enjoyed it would be wildly understated.  This has the potential to be in the league of 24, Breaking Bad, Dexter etc.

Mushroom identification guides, esp ones for a specific region, unless you're drunk and have attention deficit disorder, give you detailed information, all the information you need, to identify safe edible mushrooms.  They will pay particular attention to common pitfalls, for example:

The false morel's stem is usually filled with cotton-like fibers, unless a slug has eaten inside it, and then it will appear hollow. The top is connected at the absolute top of the cap. With the slightest pull or twist, the cap will fall right off. The cap is wrinkled rather than pitted as the true morels are.
