Instead of my traditional Thermonuclear crawfish, I thought why not? Hence, thermonuclear chicken wings.

This afternoon I ordered a Life Alert system for my Mom. She's recovering from cancer, and has had two close calls (I offered the LA after the first one, she refused, but after the second episode she finally came around, darn stubborn German women!)
They have two options, a single alert button worn around the neck that only works in the home, and a second option including the alert button, and a bigger unit with GPS, smoke/fire/CO alerts and single-button dialing from anywhere in the country. The cost of the second option was a bit high, but when I learned the first option was only $20/mo cheaper, I went with the second option. Me and a buddy rode our motorcycles to Wednesday at the Square in downtown New Orleans, got free Abita beer from SWMBO who was volunteering at the beer booth, watched Kermit Ruffin, ate some Squeal BBQ and enjoyed good company. Now I'm typing this.
