i think the only reason long johns exists in new england is because it shares space with the taco bell. maybe its their space and they beg taco bell to stay for free

You've posted some dubious things in the past,  and have a close working relationship with other 'users' that have done the same - but this is the worst.  What even is that and why is someone in civilised society allowed to do that?

Tea should be hot, even warm tea is dubious - cold an anathema, so where that leaves 'iced' is anyones guess.   How can you dunk a Digestive in that and have any dignity left?*

I have heard of some adaptations, like adding sugar - but beyond that you're messing with higher powers.

*for clarity I am not a dunker and only have a casual relationship with biscuits. And I do mean biscuits, not cookies or those scone things you drizzle in gravy. Scones, though, are imperious and delectable. Unless they are cheese ones and are best treated like the stinky kid in class.   As clarifications go I think that's exemplary.
I generally disagree with pretty much everything Nola says, does, thinks, imagines, contemplates, and dreams about.  However, the finest form of tea, Sweet Tea, is iced.  I suppose Brits dislike it for cultural reasons.  The empire's downfall occurred before ice was readily available year round.
That confirms to me that I'm doing it right.

I don't like them.  Did you know that a particular variety of pea is used, not your standard garden pea.  The farmer next to us grows them.  Fascinating right?

Also, I don't like vinegar.  But SWMBO does not like me putting gravy on chips. What a world we live in.

And the knowledge that I get from this forum-more info on the peas, please.

I tried to get a part for a Fenix flashlight I bought years ago (I believe it was a TK35). The flashlight was too old, no more parts available, so they gave me a 30% off coupon code (which I suppose is a one-use code).  If anyone wants it, PM me.  But make sure you are going to use it, I'd hate to see it wasted.

Here's an example of their lights, which are pretty high-end:

Here is my 100 watt 9,000 lumen flashlight.  Not as refined as some of those store bought options, but it gets the job done.

Should get this delivered any day now.

I'm not a fan tbh. And I've had the proper stuff from Chorley. Well, according to SWMBO who hails from that area.

Just had an hour long zoom with my 16 year old nephew. Dummy me asked if they offered vocational classes at his school. Which led to me telling him about taking machine shop in high school and running a lathe. Which turned into a virtual lesson on how to read dial calipers and indicators of all types. I asked him what .625” was. He said it’s dot 625. Nope. It’s six hundred twenty five thousandths or 5/8.

This led to me thinking what else can I teach the kid? So I moved on to hydraulic/AN sizing. Explaining that it’s measured in 16ths of an inch. -4 = 1/4” because it’s 4 16ths, -8 = 1/2”, etc..

He was impressed his Uncle J knew so much 😂 He called to ask me if I had a network cable for his PS5 and I put him through all that.

What are they teaching kids today?

I recently spent a small fortune on 6/16 hydraulics recently.  Just got a 100' hose delivered today.  Anyway, I didn't know that either.  Lernin' new sh*t every day!

Really depends on your tastes.  If you watched the first two seasons and like the show, then I’d say yes for sure.  It’s pretty friggin dark though.

I forgot about that show, I think we were 75% through season two and got interrupted and never went back.  Dark, but good.

I took ethical hacking in college. We often had projects where we would try to exploit government website, private corps, etc..

We had to log our public IPs from where we were working on the project through a .gov website. Evidently that kept the feds from knocking on our doors. Craziest class I ever took.
