  • @Eggpharmer Pies look great. Is that ooni pro? is the burner L or U shaped? I used to have an uuni 2s that ran on pellets, great for first few pies but a PITN when it was time to add pellets.  Ooni has come a long way.  I now have an Ardore and happy with it.
edit: looks like Koda 16 with L shaped burner.  I was wondering if it's U shaped it could be a challenge rotating the pie for even heat.
Yep, koda 16. Love it so far.

Updated my iMac to "Big Sur".  It failed the first attempt, and prompted me to try again; I did so, and the progress bar made it 1/3 of the way across, and froze there for 4 hours.
A buddy suggested unplugging it, plugging it back in, then powering up in "Safe" mode (hold down the Shift key while powering up).  It worked!
Not a happy feeling, having a crash during an OS install....   :o

You're braver than I am. I just got my new iMac three weeks ago and have been doing a slow roll to copy stuff off my dead iMac (which I had to open up to yank the hard drive from) and to also copy some stuff off my Macbook Air.
Yesterday a lot of my apps updated to be ready for Big Sur. I did make a bootable clone of the new iMac just in case something goes sideways when installing BS and then decided to just sit tight and wait for the first update release.
I haven't read of anyone having serious problems so far but I'm in no real hurry to upgrade as BS doesn't seem to have any "must have" features for me.

I like the kind of food you slap together.
    Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

I steamed some from fresh spinach and mixed in some sour cream, heart of pine, dill, Tony's and a tiny dash of xanthan gum to keep it thick under heat.  So made that up, was a hit!

    @nolaegghead “a tiny dash” - I bet that’s right. A little Xanthum gum goes a long way.

And not a job I could do everyday anymore either.  Mining is a young man's game!  Felt good to get underground and have some fun though.  It is an old school research and training mine that has been neglected.  My buddy and his friends are working on getting it running again.  Climbing ladders to get a few hundred feet underground is not as easy at it used to be.

Spent the day helping a buddy shore up some passages in an under ground mine.  Its been a minute since I operated a jackleg.

Can you hear the Jimmy Dean classic “Big John” in your mind when you are down there?

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

Haha!  Sometimes and as I was dragging my tired behind up the ladders at the end of the day "Sixteen Tons" by Tennessee Ernie Ford was playing in my head.

Maintenance on our refrigerators, cleaning coils and vent panels. Both are pretty easy to get moving out of tight spaces. Surprised how clean the refer in the storage area behind the screened in porch was. Done for another year.

No Putin sightings in Mexico.  This particular location is about 25 miles from the border.
