Lemme tell you how it is going....
North Dakota-- the virus is rampaging, the highest infection rate in the country, and they do not have so much as a mask order. ND is so profoundly in bad shape it is amazing it is not an international news story.
South Dakota-- rampaging, but not quite as much as their norther neighbors. The mayor of Sioux Falls the other day cast a deciding vote against a mask order, saying "it would be unenforceable"
Wisconsin-- clearly infection numbers are very high and increasing, today the governor "is considering implementing stricter measures"
Iowa-- not just confined to meat packing plants anymore, their numbers too are increasing. You guessed it! Masks not required.
Texas and California-- both have over 1 million positive residents. Both trying hard not to let North Dakota have the most of something.
White House-- Mark Meadows and Ben Carson just the latest victims this week, it's only Thursday so who wants to wager there are more high profile victims before this week end is over? I say at least 3....
Illinois-- makes news today because the mayor of Chicago is implementing her own stay at home order. Like Wisconsin, their governor is "considering stricter measures"
So in a nutshell, if you live in a state without a mask order or work in workplace where masks, social distancing, and washing your hands is flouted; safe to say it is only a matter of time until you too become a statistic. <Florida residents should read this twice in case it doesn't sink in the first time>
And if you live in a state without a mask order or a workplace that sticks it's nose up to Covid 19...the Mayor of Chicago gives more of a **** about your welfare than your local politicians or work colleagues.....and that is pretty piss poor.
Happy Holidays!

Quick question: if this continues, how many people think there will be 100% infection of the entire state of North Dakota by say June 1st???
And the total death toll will take out what? 30% of North Dakota residents by the beginning of summer 2021?
No, don’t wash your hands. Congregate all you want. Above all else, not even a suggestion you put a piece of cloth over your nose and mouth. And! We are not asking for help! Once this hospitals 30 beds are full, that’s it; that’s all we got. Calls to other states, the national guard, or hell, the military mobilizing field hospitals? If we ignore this long enough there just won’t be anybody left to live in North Dakota, problem solved!

From a hospital worker standpoint, we are diverting pts to other facilities, as we are full and have had 7-8hr waits in er. We have zero COVID rooms available. The hospital itself is not out of rooms, we just do not have any negative pressure rooms left.Norah Grace’s school has had a few positives and has had to have several kids quarantined bc of contact tracing. I am just about done with my 2 week quarantine bc of an work exposure, kind of sucks.I hope all of you stay healthy and safe.XL BGE, KJ classic, Joe Jr, UDS x2

LOL*.* Funny, but definitely an underlying seriousness that will spawn a lot of history books in the coming decades.

In a stunning reversal, the governor of North Dakota just issued a state wide mask mandate, closes indoor dining, and temporarily ceases high school sports.
Do you think he reads egghead forum???? And maybe said to himself "People from across the country are calling me out for being careless, reckless, and caring for no one other than myself....and they have a valid point"

Another stunning walking back of a hardline stance, the governor of Iowa today enacted a mask mandate. Last week he was against it.
Is it not amazing how we share this country with some really, really stupid people? And no matter how dumb you are, you can be elevated some very high political ranks and called a leader?
This whole COVID 19 situation is embarrassing.

I recall earlier this year conservatives in the US made much ado about how Sweden avoided all of the shutdown/mask wearing requirements/social distancing stuff that the US was trying to implement in many areas (typically in just blue states). It was a bit of a mystery (still is - tho I think eating all that rotten canned fish probably helped ) as to how/why Sweden was able to keep their case count so low while doing the opposite of what most of the rest of the world was doing.Fast forward to now and their number of Covid cases has skyrocketed so guess what...
