I think a lot of us here disagree with that statement.

There’s always a bright side fellas. It could be worse. Next week I’ll be paying 25k for one chemo treatment....keep in mind I get to do this every other week for 6 months....you can do the math 🤣You just gotta laugh.

    Insurance isn't covering that? Ouch!!

Evidently there is some grey area where they can reject drug costs. The hospital gave us those numbers. Luckily Anthem today said they would cover 80% so 10k/month is better than 50k :)
Doesn’t your policy have a maximum cap on out of pocket for the year?
  • Probably not helping but can you shop a different hospital that is more reasonable?

We do; $6400 to be exact, but drug costs (at least these drug costs) do not apply to that. Don't ask me why...

You may want to check with the drug company on if they have any copay assistance available.  My wife has been on a drug for the last 10 years that retails at $4k a month and we have paid zero out of pocket because the drug company covers the out of pocket portion.  Maybe it is different for maintenance drugs like this because they want to keep you on your prescription, but no harm in checking.

I can't vouch for them, but it was a low hanging fruit on the pie graph scale.

The "Jersey Shore" neighbors are moving out from across the street from me and I think everyone is quietly celebrating.  I don't know where they got the money to buy the house in the first place because no-one seems to work.

They are literally from New Jersey, and while I don't have a problem with that, they're just plain mean and antisocial.  The police, fire and medical services all know them well as frequent visitors.

They are moving to Florida, so heads-up guys.  I think they'll fit in better there anyway.

2020 just got a tiny bit better, but that's not saying much.

Today I made tacos, the way Mom used to make them: browned hamburger, envelope of McCormick's Taco Seasoning™, lettuce, tomato, Taco Bell sauce, and slightly stale "Old El Paso" crispy shells (the "Best if Used By" date on the package was sometime during the Reagan administration).

Oh, man, talk about comfort food!  Just the smell really took me back, and they were tasty; good thing, as it'll take me a few meals to use everything up (will probably get some fresh shells tomorrow morning, though).
We call them old school tacos and eat them about once a month.
Tacos are once a week at my house, steak tacos 🌮 tonight.

My pet peeve with the portable Traeger Ranger pellet pooper is the knob on the pellet hopper lid, it prevents me from placing a tray on the lid when launching or retrieving food. Finally fixed the problem...

This job is due to health issues from the employer.  I have my own thoughts on the election, but bears no bearing on the original post
