Kitchen remodel is almost complete.  Counter top, appliances and lighting got installed today.  Backsplash and final touches on Monday.  What a relief!
How did you choose a backsplash?  Asking for a friend.
We had done some research and were on the same page about style, color, etc heading in.  Followed my wife around Floor and Decor for at least half an hour and said no until we agreed on one, lol.

You did great!  When we did a kitchen facelift (new stove, sink, floor, countertops, lighting and paint) it took 18 months to find/agree on the backsplash. Not that we were unyielding, we just liked totally different things. I finished it on Christmas morning when she was sick as a dog sleeping on the couch.

Bet it it feels great to have that project done!  I would love to see some pictures.

  • @Boileregger interested in your bourbon and cider. Saw it advertised at a restaurant that we never made it to and it was bourbon brown sugar cinniman and sweet cider.  Googled it and I saw a lot of variations but the one that intrigued me was bourbon bitters hard cider, orange peel and italian cherry. How do you make yours?
Ha ha it is very complicated.  Pour your bourbon until you think it is enough.  Add your cider till you think it is enough.  Add ice.

I just love fresh apple cider in the fall, so just started mixing this, never tried anything fancier.

Watched about $30,000,000+ in cars pass me while I was sitting at the traffic light near the house. At least 50+ Ford GT’s and Lambos.  These four GT stragglers got caught at the light.

We're they heading in the direction of @bubbajack house?

@thetrim After asking someone “in the know”, they were headed to a get together in Dawsonville before heading over to Road Atlanta for the Petit Lemans this weekend. Apparently it’s the last race that the Ford GT will be a factory sponsored racecar. It’s a big deal within the GT community.

Just saw "Jane Fonda" was trending on Twitter and unfortunately it's just because she got arrested in a climate change protest.

We have a Gander going out of business. I dropped in yesterday and grabbed a couple jerk hot sauces on the way out. They came up for $1.35/piece to my surprise. I had to stop back in and grab a couple more flavors for that price. They go for $8/plus shipping on Amazon. Should be set for a little while.

I am well into LEO and given the day headed to escape velocity.  The landing will be nothing too serious but likely demand and then require some acknowledgement of the fog induced prior evening's journey. B)

Forgot the air show was going on in Atlanta tomorrow until the USAF Thunderbirds flew over my office today heading north. AWESOME!

    Friday.
Some (really simple) information I've been struggling to get, for three &#^# months now, finally came to me this morning, and may be saving us taxpayers tens of millions of dollars over the next five years.
While watching the news tonight is getting me spun up a bit, I'm a happy guy right now.
    Enjoy your evening, folks!   B)

Oh, and I just put six cheekun thighs into the frig, with a marinade that included an entire bunch of cilantro, anxious to grill it up tomorrow and report back. The house smells great!

I fall solidly in the cilantro tastes like soap camp, but oddly I still like it in many recipes!  Looking forward to seeing the outcome!

I don't believe that I have ever posted about a brisket trim job but today I am.  I should have grabbed a pic of the brisket but I didn't think the surgery was gonna be quite so spectacular (at least for me).  Started out as a 14.5 lb Costco prime.
Now 11 lbs (no that's not chix or turkey implants) and I could have gone a bit more.  I thought I did a better selection than that.  On the plus side, I've got 11 lbs to play with Sunday.  B)
