First of three days in the Alps including four HC climbs during a record heat wave. Sounds like fun.
This is where they separate the men from the boys. The changes to the finish points will change the way this shakes out this year, should be exciting.
Quintana had a helluva day. I'm guessing Alaphillipe and the next few riders behind him won't be letting Quintana do that again. Exciting to watch Alaphillipe descend, too bad the next two finishes are at the top of a climb.
Fantastic effort by Quintana.  Two more impossible days in the Alps.

As close as the top five are:
    1. Egan Bernal
    2. Julian Alaphilippe, at 45’’
    3. Geraint Thomas, at 1’3’’
    4. Steven Kruijswijk, at 1’15’’
    5. Emanuel Buchmann, at 1’42
Saturday does indeed look like it's gonna be a fight. Who still has gas in their legs?
Was very surprised Alaphillipe wasn't able to close any of the gap coming down after the last climb like he did the day before.

The hope would be that Bernal hurt himself today, but with not having to do the last climb that was prob negated.

Cycling was my life till a few years back, a bout of vertigo made pacelines a bit dangerous. I still have a very nice Time Pro Team hanging in the garage.
I have always had this fantasy of a TDF close enough for them to actually race to Paris the last day. One more crazy day of fireworks and I could get my wish.

Congrats on the offer acceptance. The real celebration is when you pass the due diligence stage though. We had to back out of a couple of places after inspections. I hope that everything goes smoothly for you guys.

I read this afternoon that Geraint Thomas said he will support his teammate Bernal for the yellow rather than make a go for himself. Not sure Alaphilippe has any teammates as strong as Thomas to help protect/carry him along.

Agreed, I'd love to see a final Sunday where, rather than just sipping champagne across the countryside, time is close enough to still matter. Tomorrow is certainly the best chance of that happening in many years!

    I’m getting drunk, again.
Slacker. You need to catch up.  I am already there.

Just loaded the large for a double semi-turbo butt cook tomorrow for future eats on the boat. Just dumped the last of the bag of charcoal in - fines and all.  More dust then normal.  Hope it is not a problem. But do not care if it is one, I will deal with it tomorrow morning. Time me to go get another...
