Right now.  Ham from the one I cured and smoked last year. I was recently informed by @HuskerMaMa that I still had ham from last year vac saved in the freezer and boycotted me from doing another unless it disappeared. Check & Mate! I'm enjoying making it disappear
Fried up some Ham with a couple of over medium eggs.

In the deer stand...No deer but nice sunset
Good stuff.  Was in stand today.  Listening to the frost melt was serene.  Last time I was out, it started to snow a couple of inches on my hike out, beautiful.

Saw 2 shooter does today, both came in to 50 yards, then switched back into the main woods.  No bueno.

    Best wishes out there bud.

Not mine, but if I had a camera, they would be great.
I'm not far from you Pete, Prophetstown, by the Rock.  Water is up, flooded around my usual spot.  Tried to hike around it, no luck.  Found another tree in a higher, dryer, area.  Didn't expect to see the Rock up this early.  Doesn't take much in these low spots though.

Duh! I have a very short attention span. Totally missed that. Ha ha.
All that melted snow and rain. Should go down soon I would think. Good luck.

Briner rocks. So does fried turkey. Standing by Scottie. Not to shill for their company but try their premixed brine packets sometime. I was amazed at how good they were. I know you can all make your own, but the flavor profile of their spice mix is outstanding. It's worth a couple bucks.

@SGH serious question, but I'm aware that i may be missing something obvious.

ill fry a few turkeys a year and use a briner from time to time.  I HATE,  emphasis on the H-A-T-E, the clean up of the Fryer pot and briner.  They just don't fit in my sink and it's a ton of effort to wash them out.  Do you have a smarter way of getting it done?

It's a pain cleaning everything up for sure. I don't know if it makes it any easier, but I wash mine outside with the water hose. It's all to big to do in the sink.

Admiring the woo2 and stone I bought from CGS, very well made.  Glad I got it before my platesetter gives up the ghost - it has a crack nearly the whole way across and I was lucky to have it survive the turkey.
    Love you bro!
