Actually, in the winter my egg cooks increase. Less baseball and softball.Hook_emHornsfan_74 said:Just curious. Do your egg cooks slow down with the changes in the weather?I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I guess we tend to have more people over in the summer enjoying the pool. Otherwise it's just SWMBO and myself. Need to fire up the egg more often.Midland, TX XLBGE

Do you need to age that stuff? I bought some a few years ago and didn't enjoy it. I like beer and love bourbon, but couldn't enjoy it together. Just wondering. I keep threatening to give it another try. Is it a sipper?Ozzie_Isaac said:

Supposed to let it age for ~3 years for optimum flavor.pgprescott said:

I just made a pizza for dinner, made a batch of refrigerator pickles, threw three split breasts in the SV with seasoning, made 2 pounds of pasta dough with Tipo 00 flour, ran some of it through the pasta machine and cooked. INCREDIBLE!
(5 oz flour, 1 whole large egg, 3 large egg yolks, 1/2 teaspoon of salt) X 4
Let the kitchenaid do the majority of work with the dough hook. Then some hand kneading.

@Ozzie_Isaac Yes. I have pictures of it all. I can't login to the forum on my phone for some reason.

That's ok, just take the photos with a 35mm. Take them to a quick development place and have them developed, then scan them in, voila.nolaegghead said:@Ozzie_Isaac Yes. I have pictures of it all. I can't login to the forum on my phone for some reason. -

DoubleEgger said:@Hotch what are your thoughts on the need to flax seed oil season the bottom side of the griddle?
I read some where that it may actually burn and create an issue with fumes if in direct contact with the flames. My first thought was to paint it with the high temp paint like the guy in Florida that makes the retro fit griddles for gassers. But the paint manf stated not for use with direct contact with flames. So all I have seasoned is both sides of the vertical splash guards and the top.Large BGE, MiniMAX BGE, 2 Mini BGE's, R&V Fryer, 36" Blackstone Griddle, Camp Chef Dual Burner 40K BTU StoveBGE ChimineaProsper, TX

Going to start drinking heavily. Better sign off the forum.
The Cubs just signed Jason Heyward. First they steal John Lackey and then the Cardinals miss out on David Price and now we lost Heyward I don't think the Cardinals are serious about beating the Cubs.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

@Ozzie_Isaac - I don't think letting Price get away is any big loss-he may look fine during the season, but he can't get it done at crunch-time. The Cardinals always come up with the talent to compete-recall all the howling when Pujols left. Team didn't miss a beat-and I would love to be worrying about first-world baseball problems....A's fan here

Attaching a new tilting monopod head from http://www.reallyrightstuff.com/ to a monopod my B-I-L picked up at a yard sale for me, $2. It's a Sunpak Pro724M, didn't realize until I got home with it that it's a pro-level carbon-fiber 'pod, lists for $130!
My new Nikon Df is supposed to be really good in low light levels, will be trying it out with the new 'pod setup on Ogden's xmas light display downtown (regular tripods and crowds don't mix very well).“I'll have what she's having."

Nah. Didn't stop for any live bait for down liners. I just cruised the lake looking for birds with a buck tail and a Sammy ready. Marked a lot of fish 30-50ft though.theyolksonyou said:@DoubleEgger catch anything Michael?
I was basically scoping out the lake looking at real estate.
