i have about 3 years on 1 puck of mitchels wool fat, maybe another 2 years to go with it.  is that enough time for you to test all the soaps and find a clear winner for my next order =)

Absolutely. I will list a top 5 soaps after I try these out and a few others that I’m waiting on to arrive.
With that said, I can tell you right up front that if you can build a good lather with MWF, it’s hard to beat it for performance. Some folks seem to really struggle to get a good lather with it for some reason. It and Tabac are two of my very favorites for real heavy stubble and aggressive razors.

i like the woolfat best, it seems to work the best when its nasty cold outside, almost like a chapstick.

anyways heres some more to try from mama bears =)

I actually have one of her soaps. Mama Bears Spice.

Trouble whipping up a lather?  It's all technique and a small set of muscles.  Hone your lathering abilities with a Shake Weight(tm)

I have a really sore right forearm right now.  Not sure how or why it happened.

I am right handed, so it is a hassle.

@thetrim In deference to this thread I will refrain from any obvious suggestions as to how your injury may have happened.

Water softener crapped out and ruined some drywall in the utility closet it’s in so I protected the new lower walls with plastic sheets and used marine paint inside this time.  Currently learning how this new softener works while drinking a Stone Delicious IPA.  Now the closet is nice enough to store some BGE stuff like my plate setter that isn’t getting any use these days.

Just got to the boat. Going to chill as we ride out the front that is going to move through this weekend. Also have to put a few more lines on her. If the forecast is correct, Thursday is not gonna be nice. Hope we do not have to haul her out yet because best fishing of the year started 2 weeks ago

Yes it is Friday and those of us here should be thankful that the all-knowing  Buffalo is willing to give a pass to the recently over-loaded shaver posts.
I would offer that before this crosses the unknown trip-wire for some harsh treatment, that you once again start your own thread and then assess the longevity.  There is some recent history and a bit on the short side if I correctly recall-FWIW-

I get a good lather with Wool Fat and like the moisturising effect of the lanolin, but it's not very slick on the second pass. Maybe to do with our hard water, but I get a lot of drag on the skin.
