@Killit_and_Grillit  You have come along way since the morning recovery process.  Nailed that steak (flat iron?) right there.  Way to rally.
@lousubcap it was a Strip steak I found in the freezer. Sous Vide for the win. Finally got the kids back and had to adult. We opened a bottle of table wine and cowboy’d the F up.

@YukonRon I think I have done all we can do to the kitchen upgrades. Real estate in Nashville is climbing so fast I think we are gonna have to sell and fix up the next one.

Unboxed my latest amazon order just in time to marinade some chicken for a Sunday dinner.
We are gonna need a report on this pimento wood @U_tarded
Definitely will we got back from Jamaica like 2 weeks ago and after eating it daily I’m going through withdrawal.  Everything is sitting pretty in the marinade for the night.

Someone here has pimento sticks from the same source.  I got chips on the island they burn down the wood and cook it over the pimento coals so we will see how this goes.

I have a 4 QT Denby CI almost identical to that in shape and colour, it's a nice pan. Denby doesn't have the feel of LC though, the CI is a bit thicker and a bit rougher feeling.

A couple years ago, we were told it was Grey Goose. They may have changed since then, but we bought several dozen 1.75 bottles for a friend of ours, which, at the time swore it was GG.

Public restrooms should have paper towels and a trash can right next to the door. Reason being, if there is a door handle or pull, you can use the paper towel to open the door and then dispose of the towel.

Amen to that! I use my shirt sleeve or a paper towel, anything... then throw it on the floor or just let it go as I walk out if there is no trash close by.

Layover at the Detroit airport.  They must have renovated this place recently, because it’s pretty nice:

@ColtsFan - That's a great deal and nice selection.  Did you base the buy on the projected consumption rate between expected sales? =)

Just went for a run for the first time in a couple of months.  Felt good.  I need to quit letting life get in the way (that's my excuse) and make some time for exercise.

Thanks @lousubcap.  I actually got into the weight room yesterday and that didn't render me unable to run today so I think I'm good.  When I haven't worked out or run for a while I tend to ease back into it.  I limited it to 3 miles today.

Good for you Foghorn.  You and I have very different ideas of "easing into it".  Easing into it for me would be walking quickly from my truck to the house.

One addendum to the whole aisle vs window seat debate thing: sitting in the aisle these days comes with the indignity of getting bumped by every Heywood Jablowme who walks by.  Just caught a face full of pantsuit ass from a lady putting her luggage up on the other side.  And no her name was not Hillary, thanks.

When I have a layoff, the soreness doesn't hit me the next day, it happens two days later, for whatever reason.  I'll be going back to the gym tomorrow afternoon for the first time since around Xmas, when Santa brought me another PE and I had to lay off for awhile.

Thanks.  I have a Lodge ECI 6 qt DO that performs just fine for a Cabela's Bargain Cave find.  I felt this size, and wider shape, would be nice, especially with sauces and pasta, spaghetti and meatballs, braises, beans.  Definitely egg friendly.

The only Cerise void left to fill would be a round 9qt.  A hard target, at almost $500 to pull the trigger on.  I need to work up to it.  Maybe next year.  =)
