Yeah bro.   Gordon Biersch Terminal A.
    Ain’t no leper colony.
The Atlanta airport?  When was the last time you were in it?  Were you blindfolded?
Frequently.  You prefer Miami, or Detroit, or Philadelphia?
No I don’t.  But I almost never have to fly through any of those.  I fly through Atlanta frequently because it’s a Delta hub. I’m sure there are worse airports, but that doesn’t mean that Atlanta still doesn’t suck donkey balls.  Look, it’s one of the largest airports in the world.  Just the sheer volume of people alone makes it a miserable place to be for any extended period.
It’s the busiest f’ing airport in the world and you’re expecting a Deer Valley experience. C’mon.  It’s clean and reasonably efficient with good amenities.  Get back to me how Israel’s airport compares.  Hope the guns don’t make you nervous.
Lol yeah it’s practically a Shangri-La.  And lol at the idea that it’s clean, omg.
    Glass half full.  I understand.
Here’s the JD Power ranking from 2017:

    http://www.jdpower.com/press-releases/jd-power-2017-north-america-airport-satisfaction-study

Atlanta is just barely ranked above average amongst the Mega airports.  It is actually below Miami.

And JD Power is the end all?  Where did they rank Duke?  And you know as do I it’s a “satisfaction “ study.  How many times did you vote?  Would you present this as scientific at one of your talks?  Thanks.

Feel free to post any ranking you can find where Atlanta comes out on or near the top.  I don’t care who it’s by as long as it’s national and not your hometown paper.  I’ll wait.

For Brent, this might as well be paradise because there’s tiling on the floor and he doesn’t have to work hard to check out the junk on the dude standing next to him:

That’s because it was incredibly dumb.   But ok, I’ll indulge you.  I didn’t put the JD Power results forward as the “end all.” All I did was say “here they are”.  As in, here is one take by a reputable outfit where Atlanta doesn’t fare too well.  I’m sure there are many others.

If there’s something better out there in terms of process go out and find it and post a link.  Your move, Corky.

Unrelated observation.  Why are three urinals side x side still acceptable, while we did away with the three hole outhouse years ago?  Pet peeve over.

ATL is great. Bus picks me up at my truck and takes me to the terminal. Security is generally less than 20 minutes. The train takes me to the concourse and I walk to the gate. I can fly most places non stop. I bet I don’t walk 200 yards total. There’s plenty of food and drink choices. What else do you want from an airport?

Why in God’s name would anyone defend any public airport?  It’s not like it’s some indicator of the quality of the region or the city.

It's a fscking public airport. The experience will be for $hit. Maybe one will be a lesser sort of $hit, but it will still be for $hit. I hate airports. And don't get me started on the TSA. Friggin security theater...

Ask the regional planners trying to convince companies to HQ in their area. If you don’t think Hartsfield Jackson has been critical in securing key corporations, you’re kidding yourself.

Ah yes, another homer chimes in.

You fly out of it.    You’re generally not there any longer than you have to be.

Connecting through Atlanta is a totally different experience.  It’s not unusual to arrive on one side at the end of a terminal and have to traverse all the way to the end of another.

Because H-J does a helluva job shuffling 100 million passengers a year.

Greyhound busses in the sky. I have caught flights frequently over the last 40 years, no airport, anywhere, makes me glad I am there.

I guess you’ve never made that trek at MSP. Better bring your hiking boots.

Also, can you for once in your life have a conversation with someone with a differing opinion without resorting to name calling? Is that too much to ask of you?

The question wasn’t remotely dumb as it was pointed and relevant.  Incredibly dumb answer is fitting.  The busiest airport in the world does a great job moving cretins like you through to land in Israel.  Your option to go through JFK.

Made it several times at MSP.  I’m not a fan of MSP by any stretch, but I still prefer it to Atlanta.

And come on me calling you a homer when you’re defending your own regional airport is hardly some major insult.   Grow a thicker skin.
