Not much going on here. It’s -21C. It’s getting frustrating. Will be putting a beef tenderloin on tonight. That’s the extent of my excitement.

Cleanup time. Was on the phone with @Thatgrimguy when it fell.  Look at the mess in the tree. Those big branches up there are 12” in diameter. Can’t get to them.  Oh well.  New chain, filed the depth gauges (incorrectly also known as rakers) down a little more than normal and I just tuned up the saw. Hopefully I will blast through this and everything cut to size in about 3-4 hrs. It is a good sized tree. At the split closest to me I would say 23-24” diameter.

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Where you in the woods when you heard it? We may be able to answer this age old question.
