@YukonRon - I am a firm believer in "Happiness is Disney World in the rear view mirror" as the family was there and at the great Magic Kingdom when they closed the MK for a while due to the overload of attendees. This was in Feb 2001 during some concocted vacation week by the KY public school system. Just keep a level keel and have fun.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
This is my first cook using my new PSWoo. I really like this thing!
(sorry for the poor quality of the first pic, I didn't check before I put it in with the cabbage)
Four pound corned brisket flat, cooked over Rockwood and apple wood with apple cider in the drip pan for two hours on the egg at 300. A head of cabbage, two big onions, carrots and potatoes, (started on the stove to make room).
Everything combined and getting happy. Happy St. Patricks Day!!LBGE, PSWOO, 36" Blackstone, MasterBuilt smoke box- Playing with fire in Three Rivers, MI

@dharley - No worries as even when I try to get decent pic I hose it up. I'm big on the end product taste, pics as they happen. Looks like you have a banquet going right there. Congrats.
BTW - I run with the PSWOO and extender as well. Great set-up for the BGE.

@lousubcap- Thanks for the kind words. As for the PSWOO, I've been using foil wrapped bricks and a cobbled extension set-up for a year. This thing is more than great! I bought a half circle stone as well. I'm going to reverse sear a few thick ribeye steaks and porterhouse chops tomorrow. I betting it's going to go a lot smoother than with my other setup.LBGE, PSWOO, 36" Blackstone, MasterBuilt smoke box- Playing with fire in Three Rivers, MI

Another endorsement for reverse sear with the caveman finish-much faster and easier for me: (Definitely requires a quick read thermo).
On the lump-
And the money shot:
Granted lower left is weak but it was thin and off the end cut. (2.3 lb RR prime cowboy for the sacrifice.) Enjoy the B'ball this weekend and beyond.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
Boiled shrimp, mushrooms and two different kinds of sausage. A few pepperchinos for good measure.
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
Status- Standing by.

Just watched my puppy poop on a tennis ball. She ran around the yard. Ran over to the tennis ball, spun around and dropped a duece right on top of the ball. SMH.

Survived the crawfish boil. We did have a grumpy neighbor complain about live jazz guitar performance at midnight so we had to shut that down.
So Vinny Raniolo showed up with Henrik, and they're music geeks so I grabbed a couple amps and guitars and they played on and off for hours. Amazing music.
