I married a Bostonian.  My in-laws were at the house watching with us.  Needless to say, I am very happy with the result.

But the first thing I though of after Kearse made the crazy catch was the "helmet catch" from the Giants win over them.

  • Wasn't it Donald Driver that made a similar catch on MNF? "I can't believe what I just saw!" Al Micheals gets 2 like that in a career.

My only question is, Who the hell is Chris Matthews???  He has NO stats.  He never touched a football in the NFL and gets 4 receptions for 109 yards and a TD in the superbowl including game changing plays.

He had a great rookie season a couple of years ago with the Blue Bombers of the CFL, the rest of the team sucked big time, still does. He had an injury and didn't play much in his second year, he just disappeared after he was released. Resurfaced in Seattle.

After that I was having flashbacks to when they let the Giants score to give themselves maybe enough time to make another run down the field.  I thought for sure we were going to see a repeat of that again last night.

But BB wasn't thinking clearly.  Many have pointed out that Seattle's lousy play call at the end obscured the fact that BB didn't call timeout to save some time.

Blast from the past! That was Antonio Freeman back in 2000. I remember watching that game since it was always a great show with those 2 teams at the time. Old School Randy Moss, Daunte  Culpepper, and Robert Smith on the Vikings. Favre, Dorsey Levens, Ahmad Green, Bubba Franks, Driver, Freeman.

    Good times.
  • I was rooting for both teams to lose but had to settle for something less. In the end I am glad that Seattle lost. Looks like Seattle's pipeline to God sprung a leak. At least they kept true to their west coast ethos and started a riot once they realized they lost. Must have been God telling them to punch Gronk in the head.

I didn't really care but I was leaning towards Seattle until the riot BS. Way to lose jackass.

After that display of sportsmanship and Tom Brady calling out Malcolm for a great play I am glad the Pats won.

  • @Eggcelsior well I had the team correct anyway! I remember watching the game, but I'm bad to multitask and mostly watch anything competitive no matter who's playing.
