What a spot and view right there @MediumRarely.  I would never get tired of that-never mind the weather.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Absolutely stunning!  I would ruin everything that I tried to cook there.  I would be mesmerized by the view and lose track of time.

Stunning. I wouldn't want to go back in the house, with a spot like that.

Slowly but surely, had a few weeks with no work.  Raised some cane, and now a lot of work is happening again.

It is a pool, the back face does have a built in fountain too. Being raised out 18" gives it the "fountain" look along with the back wall and side petals, but a fountain you can swim in.  Supposed to get the interior done tomorrow and then water friday.  Been a long slog, but can almost see the end.

As my wife says, "size matters". Wicked nice. Just shows the possibilities when you have vision, time and space that rivals the state of Texas. I don't know what you have planned for the heart of the kitchen, but a "little" table for all your family and friends might be nice. Hopefully, most here know what really matters.

Thank you for the kind words.  Having some elbow room definitely helps, but I would trade it for your phenomenal view.

Not sure what will be in the center of the kitchen.  A table would be really fun to have, like a chefs table type setup.  I was planning some sort of open flame grill like a Santa Maria or that cool Brazilian grill someone showed earlier.  There is a little patio on the back side of the kitchen too so friends can congregate there while a cook and hang out and eat at the counter.

It is obvious that whatever you decide, spectacular will be a bit understated. My little project was certainly different, either buy a nice table and obstruct the view or shoe horn in a retrofit and repurpose a flower bed. Basically I have an Egg and a sink on the edge of a cliff. But we both love it and are blessed to frequently entertain family and friends.

You are welcome anytime.  They have promised it will be done by 4/2, I have a party scheduled on that day so we shall see.  If they hit that date, they will only be 2 months late.

I will still have some landscaping and stuff, but the actual build hopefully will be done and kitchen in service.
