Makeshift drip pan

This will be no big deal to most but I thought it might help some of the newer eggers that hasn't been around for past conversations on this. I am cooking ribs for moms bday tomorrow and I am out of my bigger size disposable drip pans and there are too many empty beer cans in the trash for me to even think about driving so I made a ring out of folded up foil to elevate the drip pan from the PS
Took a double layer of some 20" wide HDAF and made a pan that would be a bit bigger than the ribs
And now I know my ribs are shielded
All this just to say that you don't have to spend huge amount of $$$. Sometimes you just gotta improvise.

I think it's a nifty idea. There's been times I have been in a pinch and wished I would have thought of it. Again good idea my friend and thanks for sharing it .Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

That is awesome. I have done something similar many times but never taken pictures. If I may suggest- consider adding a smaller ring in the center. Once the drippings start it will sink down .Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Good suggestion @smokeypitt. Thank you-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

Would a disposable foil pan work the same as a drip pan, more or less? New to the BGE and already made lots of investments so would like to hold off on yet another one.
