“Uncorked” event at the Houston Rodeo.   They had cases of Blantons that went so fast.   I’m driving so abstained.

The kicker on my above comment is that everything was free.   I could have drown myself in whatever for just tip $.    I actually think my wife tried to but I was a good boy

@billt01 - Better to be lucky than good right there.  Great score.  No chance around here unless the secondary market big $$$.

@JohnInCarolina I had a few of those last summer. I remember them being not terrible but not great either. Somewhere in between.

Have you found a good craft light beer?  I’m starting to think it’s a unicorn.  Maybe the closest I’ve found is Bell’s Light Hearted Ale.

I’d agree with this review. But for $30, it ain’t bad. It’ll sell out cus of Stapleton’s name alone

start with a just the haze, then a slightly mighty, then a wicked hazy. might average out. dogfish head seems to go bad quickly, they really need to be fresh. non of those are great if you are drinking the other end of ipas. have an other half/modestman called bon appetit to try this weekend.....otherhalf seems to be mixing it up with several breweries lately. the names and cans just get stranger, this ones brewed in keene

@JohnInCarolina I have not found one that I would endorse. I’ve not tried Bell’s.

I would agree with all above.  Only way to drink it is neat.  Doesn’t have a very robust flavor.  Dies quickly on the palate.  Not terrible for the price but I won’t buy another.

NICE!...some make light of the fact I choose to enjoy mine with an ice cube...I simply tell them I like the flavor of the barrel more than the burn of the ethanol..

@YukonRon - way to step up and support those that are worthy and the net continues to be quite inadequate.
BTW-Got a text from @thetrim a few hours into the hanging truck event. First alert.  A while later I turned on the TV the local channels had slightly more coverage than the national media.
If a hanging truck is a long edited and running MSM story then it is a relatively quiet Friday PM.

We just got home, and leaving the event, the emergency lights are still flashing.

BTW, this was the largest contributing event for the advocacy. There were 30 tables 8 seats per with a participation fee, per person. Our table raised more than 5k for the evening, and we felt pretty god, until Terry Minor (sp?) who MC’d delivered the numbers, We did ok, and were pleased with our efforts.

We hope to advocate for 2500 middle schoolers next year, which is 10% of the JeffCo enrollment.

The chairman for the event is our neighbor across the street, and if there is one thing I can tell you about this guy’s energy for this event, is his non stop enthusiasm and passion.

So far, IIRC, this program has produced Fulbright, ad Rhodes scholars, leaders of communities, legislators, and so many pre positive stories.

    Worth the evening.

@ColbyLang- I enjoy their Fusion series but there is a noticeable change in flavour (nod) profile from release to release.  Number 9 is a winner as was 7.
Moving to Discovery is a leap I likely would enjoy but...
    Your take on that bottle?
