@JohnInCarolina I gave up craft beer sadly, I love it the most but it doesn’t love me back with my weight.
    Enjoy.

@Dobie - will be interested in your comparison recognizing that all bourbon palates are different.
I’m probably the last guy you want to take advice from with your taste and experience but I will let you know after the bottles done.
I mean I can’t even spell piqued correctly.

I am truly interested in your assessment as I look at it as another perspective.  A couple of pours will suffice but a bottle kill depending on the scenario could be an enlightening adventure.  Enjoy the remainder of the weekend.
    Thanks for the response.

Last nights blinds. 5/6 chose Idle Hands as the number 1 bottle. 6/6 put the Elijah 18 as the hands down loser. Amazing how this works. All proofed between 90-110.
  • @ColbyLang - interesting.  I don't think I've seen the Idle Hands around here at all.

Here's what I get every time I try and get any adult spirit shipped in:
    "Shipping not available.
Your order cannot be shipped to the selected address. Review your address to ensure it's correct and try again, or select a different address."  The different address needs to be a different state.
    Oh, well.

I have that issue with certain states. Our former AG (now governor elect) made sure that if Louisiana wasn’t getting their cut of the necessary taxes and fees reciprocated, there was no shot. Used to get store pick Weller Antiques annually from a shop in NJ. All stopped 2-3 years ago

I’ve never tried the EC 18 but many people comment that it is too oaky. That is also likely the most pricy bottle in this line up so price doesn’t always equal value

Definitely the most expensive. The NR is about $75 as a personal barrel pick. The Idle Hands is about $55 and the Maker’s is a build your barrel pick that’s about $80. The EC18 is a bargain at $200. MSRP is just north of $100 if I remember correctly

Is EC 18 that much better than Weller 12?

@RRP better to be lucky than good right there.  About how many years ago did that happen (I'm guessing several ...back when PVW was not the unicorn it has become)?

No - not years ago, but just last week, November 16th to be exact! He appears to be a successful attorney there in Georgia.

Oh - and I better say "GO DAWGS"  =)
