tend to lean towards rye to avoid the less expensive sweet bourbons. the angel envy rye  is a bit too sweet on the first pour for me though but does change enough by the second pour to stay. always bought just one bottle at a time, killed it, and bought another. nice to have options now.

started with a month off, turned into to three months with the rainy summer we had.  so the savings were there........i seem to drink less with straight bourbon/rye served neat than other beverages so thats a positive as well

On the latter side for sure.  I actually went in looking for the 10, and saw they had this too.  I haven’t tried it before so figured I would.

Fat washed some four roses with some rendered bacon fat. Ten ounces bourbon one ounce rendered fat. Shook to mix every ten minutes for the first hour then put in the deep freeze for 24 hours. Pulled from the freezer bust the fat cap and strained through cheese cloth.
It has a nice smokey nose with a hint of bacon and has mellowed the heat, not as much bite. 
Now to pickup some Dorda along with some Heering for cocktails

So the clear bottle with the purple seal was the one they did in the email blast. $90ish. Lackluster is how I’ll call it. Kinda funky.
