Looks tasty. Last time I made an OF, I put a teaspoon of raw sugar on a wedge of orange and muddled the sugar and just the meat of the orange in the glass then the bourbon and ice and stir. And chilled glasses help. But however you get it in ya is good!sumoconnell said:Nice rainy evening needs an old fashioned, a cigar, chicken thighs on the grill, and a covered patio..

That looks tasty. Both of them. Please share the Bourbon Smash technique. I see what looks like lemon rind in water? To keep them fresh?mkegg said:Blackberry Bourbon Smashes and Duckhorn red blend.

I actually prefer the regular Highland Park. It's very smooth, but lacks a bit of character imo.blind99 said:@pgprescott how is it? -
No pics as it's just Bulleit for the fuel load. Anticipating a LEO journey tonight but something could come up that necessitates an escape velocity ride. TBD.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

The 15 is probably my favorite scotch. Not that I've tried a lot but that stuff is fantastic.pgprescott said:

The 15 is much better. Stick with it. I would not buy this dark origins. It came in a gift pack.blind99 said:

@pgprescott- gift packs of blonde water. You run in some rarified circles.
Enjoy the blonde and save the brown water for us pedestrians.

Blood orange IPA has good sourness, porter for afters. Annoying 18 yo in the background. He's off to study maths at universty in 2 weeks, so it'll be a bit quieter around the house.
