And my response to Chubbs should be taken that way as well, trash talking.  I am actually a big fan of Gamecocks - especially Clowney.

Saban is the best coach in college football right now. Why hate him? Nola, he brought you guys a natty. I know he left you high and dry, but it was a lot of his talent he recruited that won you the 07 title also.
I agree with you - he's the best coach. I have standards...if you gotta hate someone, hate the best.  Doesn't mean I don't respect the guy.

Purdue, BYU, and Pitt...all three I would assume Bama would handle easily. Bama lost to tex A&M who had the heisman trophy winner qb who played lights out that game.

I do agree with you on those games.  However, with Purdue and BYU we are talking about a QB who was pretty terrible.  He is nowehere near that anymore, really came into his own towards the end of the year.  He emerged as a true leader on offense.  In the beginning of the year he would stand in the pocket and never release the football, now he is making far better decisions bacj there and his offense is looking better.  The Pitt game, well that was a disaster.

Look, I do believe Alabama wins the Naty title Jan. 7, but I think ND keeps it closer than most give them credit.  We shall see.

Irish, if you read my post, I said if Gamecocks were healthy. They lost arguably the best RB in the country to season ending injury and played without their starting QB some games.

Injuries are a part of football. Mainly put this comment to stir the pot to SEC haters.

Bottom line, Gamecocks would destroy ND given the opportunity.

I think Vegas agrees with you, the line seems to be coming back a bit.

I think the A&M/Oklahoma game will be a good gauge for the title game.  I think the Oklahoma game was ND best showing of the year.  Interested to see if Manziel has a heisman hangover.  If OK beats A&M pretty handily, that line should move a bit closer as well.

If I were packing a few more inches I could have been a pornstar.  Didn't happen, those are the breaks my man - just like injuries in football.

If LSU didn't throw the honeybadger off their team they could be playing for the national title - there are many of these stories floating around.

Hhahhaah. I forgot about the Honeybadger. What a waste of talent that guy is/was.

Just playing around Irish. No hard feelings here. Looking forward to seeing how ND can do. Who knows, maybe they dominate Bama.

Notre Dame is the most undeserving team to ever play for the NC. They should be ashamed of scheduling mostly losers to play against. Not a Bama fan, but can't wait to see Bama completely dominate these media darlings. It won't be much of a game. The real NC game was already played in Atlanta a few weeks ago.
    Just another hater...
I have no dog in this race.  Neither a ND or Bama fan.  However, the reason most people hate ND is exactly this conversation.  ND has had one good season, and the arrogance, and elitist comes out 110%.  When ND has maintained being relevant and has proven themselves, then this behavior has some traction.
If ND gets rolled in the title game, Kelly bolts for the NFL and you're right back to the ND of the early 2000's.
I'm just hoping for a good game to watch on Monday night.

so who are these elitist arrogant fans?  b/c you may have encountered one they are all one in the same?
so ND fans dont have the right to be excited to be playing in the NC game because it has been too long since their last appearance.  name one team that doesnt have idiot bandwagon fans?

i dont see kelly going anywhere at this point but if he does- so what?  hopefully they land another excellent coach.  it's been alot of rough years and have been there for all of them.

why would they destroy them?  what matchups do the gamecocks present that would destroy ND?

It will be decided Monday night.  If Notre Dame wins, then they've validated their season.  If they lose to Alabama, then they are what every "hater" in this thread claims, an over-rated, not elite team.
