    Is it the slicing or the peeling you don't like? I hate the peeling because the skins sticks to everything! You could just get the whole peeled cloves and slice them. I do understand that some recipes call for chopped and some sliced.

      it is slicing... the peeling isnt an issue.. i like it thin sometimes and it is just a pain!
