Fair enough. With that said, if my googling was accurate, it seems that today's Vette (maybe only the top end model) will outrun a Viper.

With regard to your comment on safety, prior to them going mid-engine, I read somewhere the following contradictions:

In crash testing, Corvette is the safest car made in the US.

More people die per mile driven (it might have been per crash) in a Corvette than in any other car made in the US.

I came to the conclusion that many Corvette crashes happen at speeds that are much higher than the speeds at which cars are crash tested.

My buddy had a viper for about 3 months. Wet road. In a curve. Lost the rear end mid shift. It was fast as hell, fun to ride in. Not my cup of tea.

the vette c8 2025 is faster on the street tracks but a 2014 viper acr is quicker on circuit tracks. the top line 2026 vette would destroy it though
