With all due respect, you have not been questioned by my UPS Store lady. She is easily three times either of our weights and I’m pretty sure she holds everyone else responsible for that. Like the reincarnation of Atilla the Hun.Battleborn said:

Reviewing my notes for the Tuesday KY primary elections as I am a poll worker. I hope Massee pulls through. The fact that “the most transparent administration EVER” is fighting so hard to stop the Epstein files and Trump is trying to destroy anyone who holds him accountable should be all anyone needs to know.lousubcap said:Reviewing my notes for the Tuesday KY primary elections as I am a poll worker. It’s generally about 10-15 degrees cooler than Atlanta/North GA. It was in the low to mid 70s and it was close to 90F in the metro.Ozzie_Isaac said:

I don’t know if that is a glazing repair or a cleaning. A while back, a tornado came through downtown Atlanta and took out a bunch of windows. Those are special curved windows that could not be fabricated to match so they had to replace all of the windows. That’s a 73 story hotel.kl8ton said:

Sitting in the dark. At least it cooled off. It was hot as balls here yesterday. You know what’s hard not to do? Flip every damn light switch there is when walking into a room. And I work for the electric cooperative. Lol

We’ve recently been watching a few of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares episodes as a gratuitous wind-down/brain rot.
A restaurant owning woman just called Gordon “white Oprah” and it made us lol. Also, something I’ve noticed about Gordon (among many observations) - he greets everyone with “nice to see you”. When you think about it, it’s actually a pretty genius salutation, because it doesn’t address whether he’s met them before or not. I think I’ll start using it at those events where I see familiar faces but aren’t sure whether I’ve met them. -
I'm checking my calendar to make sure that it is Friday morning because I don't see @CPFC1905's weekly offering of entertaining football predictions - and it is the last week of the season.

We’re here, game 38 and Arsenal are crowned champions while Man City take bridesmaid duties and their neighbours, Utd, pick up third and after a calamitous 18 months before a change of manager generated a good outcome. At the foot, Spurs have conspired to keep themselves in the relegation contest, but Hammers recent loss of form could be the deciding factor after all. But as is traditional of this time of the season, greater attention is drawn to departures that are immediately forgotten amongst the intoxicating lure of potential new arrivals. With hot weather forecast and very little to play for, set your expectations at ‘exhibition match’.
All or Sunday at 1600
Brighton vs Man United - the visitors have wretched form when travelling to the South Coast and have nothing to play for. The filthy fetid wretched Seagulls need points to nail down European football next year. 2-0 and won’t we all know it. Meh.
Burnley vs Wolves - who really is the worst team in the PL, well let’s find out via a futile waste of carbon emissions that no one wants or needs. 0-0 because negative goals is not possible.
Palace vs Arsenal - huzzah, another futile game but the Gunners will get roundly applauded and both teams will field administrative staff and the guy who takes the money at the car park entrance. We both have Euro finals coming up and the outcome of this match means nothing. 1-1, by mutual agreement
Fulham vs Newcastle - and the winner of the ‘lucky to still have a job’ award goes to Eddie Howe at Newcastle. Even winning this dead rubber only takes them to 9th (ish) and perhaps that’s redolent of the Gulf states collective disinvestment from sports? 1-1
Liverpool vs Brentford - both teams in the hunt for points to secure Euro football, so something on this one. Sub-text ahoy though as outgoing talisman Mo Salah has been critical of the Liverpool boss, and is a bit injured so may not play (conveniently) and another lad who’s done good job there for many years leaves too. But he’s not Mo Salah, so - meh. Odd season or the Reds and potentially great one for the Bees. 0-1
Man City vs Villa - and the big news is Pep’s gone, the sire of contemporary PL football and many other managers. I should care, but just don’t. Villa have nailed down CL football next year and have been on the beers since Wednesday night after lifting the Europa League cup. Hot weather, nothing to play for. 74-19 or 0-0. You choose.
Forest vs Bournemouth - strong end to the season or Forest belies their extended filtration with relegation - but they’ve checked out now. The Cherries can qualify for the CL if they win by many and Liverpool get humped. Unlikely, very unlikely. 0-2
Sunderland vs Chelsea - mathematics suggests Sunderland could play in Europe next season, but logic says they won’t and nonetheless a great season for them. Nailed on for relegation next year though. Chelsea have shored up under the new manager, and face the risk of no Euro football if they don’t summon a result here. I think they will 1-2.
Spurs vs Everton - how Spursy can Spursy Spurs be? Perfect opportunity here to completely shaft themselves. A defeat and West Ham winning sees them down. All other permutations keep them safe. This will be nervy and while the Toffee’s season is over, they will smell blood and see the chance of several million pounds extra in the kitty by moving up the table for a better finish. 1-1 but the epitome of squeaky bum time.
West Ham vs Leeds - screams pyrrhic victory. A narrow and barely plausible 1-0 sees the Hammers relegated - and to be honest, they deserve it. Three seasons of decline and financial woes, can only go one way. OK, I may need to update this next season if they stay up.
So there you have it. Best of luck as you move in to the football-free Summer abyss. I don’t know how you will fill your time, until mid-June anyway when every single national team, and some made up just for the fun of it, arrive in your neck of the woods. the Fifa World Cup cash removal tool has been activated. Please obey and empty your wallets immediately .

If you were to do one on Fridays during the World Cup that would be a great bonus. Just sayin'.
I had to work up the word "redolant". Thanks for expanding my vocabulary yet again.
I don't think I've ever been more sure of the outcome of a football match than I am sure that Tottenham and Everton will play to a draw on Sunday. Earlier this week I someone called in that there were geese causing a traffic issue by walking in the middle of a street with the goslings. I got dispatched to it because, for some reason, animal control said that they don't handle birds. My first questions was, what do you want me to do about it? Second was, why is someone calling the police for this?GrateEggspectations said:

The service of first and last resort here in the UK. The hours lost to calls because we can't be seen to say no.
Because I am old, I remember witnessing the dramatic acceleration in calls for service when; 1) cell phone ownership accelerated, and 2) Facebook. The volume of 'they called me a nasty name on Facebook, you must arrest them' was just eye watering. And the fury that met with my stock response 'don't use Facebook'
But, on the other hand - being called to a 'lion' on the loose as a young probationer was a joy to behold. It was an aged labrador, after all - but my more senior colleague opening the enquiry with 'do you have a cat?' 'yes' came the reply, 'is it quite big?' ... suggested different outcome was foreseeable.Other girls may try to take me away

I picked up a 22" Blackstone that was in rough shape for $20. After a little TLC she's back up and running.

This one I don't think will be sticking around. My plan originally was to sell my 17" Blackstone for this 22" one. I like the extra space of the 22" but I might find one that hasn't seen the sun 24/7. It's only cosmetic and everything works perfectly but I'm sure I can snag another one of Marketplace down the road. This one is perfect for someone who is looking to use it and not worry about how it looks when not being used. It's in nice shape besides being a little sun faded. Just me being picky. So I'm going to hold off on any cooks on it and let the new owners do that. If it's still here in a week or two I'll fire it up for a meal and get over it!
