I pounded out a few chicken breasts and threw them on the mini max to make it through the bomb cyclone that is now trending towards a dusting.

Watching the Michigan-Michigan State game.  It’s a good one.
Well.... Time to reset that counter!

Tough loss for the Spartans.  To come back from being down 18 and even take the lead, only to squander it down the stretch at home (to your in state rival) is brutal.

Michigan is awfully good this year though.  We will have our hands full playing them next month.

Quiet Friday night.  Had a couple of beers at the local watering hole but with the snow pack and cold temps for this area (haven't been at or above 32*F for two weeks with the average low of 27*F and high of 44*F) things were definitely dialed down.

my monday morning commute from maine down I-95 had several lines of power-line work trucks headed south. was only minus 13 f so they probably had nothing to do up here =)

Much appreciated Friday-Enjoyed a few adult beverages with my sons including lots of insights on how to invest in the Sunday NFL football game.  The speed with which you can be separated from your $$ exceeds the speed that @YukonRonso well described as "wallet genocide" regarding this site.  Time will tell if I achieved any knowledge/$$ after the final whistle Sunday night.
There are very few events where I have skin in the game but the Sunday American football game is one of them.
    Happy Friday-

Pretty sure it's the former.   The Olympic villages tend to be essentially college dorms for adults, adults who happen to be in exceptionally good shape and are, for the most part, pretty young.  Once they're done with their event it's go time.

I was wondering about timing. I can’t imagine pre-event shenanigans helping the performance any.

Bryan Adams (good Canadian kid) said it best. "Everywhere you go, Kids wanna **ck" (he said rock, fill in your own blank)

is it any surprise that Norwalk spread rapidly once it got a toe hold?

i get given so much food and treats for Christmas that by the time I finish them all it will be Easter and I will have the same shape as an egg. Rather fitting I think.

Bit of a gratuitous name drop, but I sold him an amplifier (via his tech) about 10 years back. I knew it wasn’t a regular Kijiji transaction when they didnt dicker on price and asked if I could put it on the first Greyhound bus from Ottawa to Toronto.

    Glad I’m not superstitious!

The wife and I have a pre-Valentines dinner date at an Indian restaurant in town we really like.  For those interested:

My neighbor was telling me his daughter works at Lowes and her store had a lot of generators being returned once the snow and ice melted.   I ask if she might keep me in mind?   This was still boxed and strapped to the pallet.   Discounted $300

I have something similar, if you keep it hooked to propane you will never have carburetor issues.

    Cool score, @bucky925.

@alaskanassasin - I always thought that about the multiple fuel generators too. Can get around gumming them up with gas.

Yeah, I'm just gonna have to gunk it up.   No natural gas and I don't want a big tank.   We do have fairly inexpensive ethanol free gas $3.49

Quite a Friday evening at the local watering hole.  I won't bore you with any details but it was definitely a throw-back night.  All in good fun.
While here...what do guys want most for Valentine's Day?
