    Two-week update.
The good news is I didn't kill that pigeon.  Hadn't seen him in two weeks, but there he was in my neighbor's front yard yesterday.
The bad news is I didn't kill that pigeon.  He hasn't been back roosting on my side window, but he has been sitting on my truck's box, and there's **** everywhere.  Dammit.  :anguished:

Would it be possible for the airlines to pay the Air Traffic Controllers and then be reimbursed at the end?  I imagine the salary for the air traffic controllers would be less than a few cents swing in fuel prices for them.  Cancelling, reimbursing, refunding stranded passengers has got to be a massive cost also.

Airlines just need to donate to the ballroom fund or promise free maintenance on his new to him jumbo jet.

Solid early Friday evening at the local brew house. Great meetup with my two sons.  Solved most world problems except the gubmint shutdown B).

Just got to our spot in Florida on AMI. Rental house. Drove. I took a walk to a local watering hole. Decompressing from the drive. I-75 was as I expected.

@kl8ton - guessing AMI is Anna Maria Island.  The AMI oyster bar has $2 oysters 3-6 pm.
You are into Florida crab claw season.  Star Fish Company (linked here: https://www.starfishcompany.com ; cash only) has great claws.  It's in Cortez.  Close and just manage the draw bridge timing.
Just got back from there two weeks ago.  Great times.
    Enjoy!

    You are correct!

I've never eaten oysters before. What do you recommend I try?  One of my sons is with us and he will eat almost anything.

Pretty hard meetup to top, in my books. I can only imagine how rewarding it will be to see my kids as adults.

@kl8ton -regarding oysters.  You should initially go with the ones cooked with one of the various toppings. You can then move on to the raw consumption.  Topped with a shot of fresh lemon, horse radish and cocktail sauce if you like.
I have found two small pearls in all the raw oysters over my years of enjoying them so don't expect one right out of the gate! B)

Happy Friday.  Quiet evening here. LEO is the plan.  Fueling in progress.
Stay healthy and safe out there.

System recovering from a loss of electricity deal. Took a few hours to get restored. No wind, no rain...
The company line "wildlife".  Turns out wildlife "squirrels 🐿️ are the main contributor" is their biggest distraction footprint  as in destroying transformers on their way to squirrel heaven.  I'm sure it was quick!
Besides that, totally pedestrian-definitely not the plan but the actual!

Partner got tickets to women’s basketball game. Was a really good game and very entertaining to watch!  Might look into season tickets.

Nice evening of drinks and heavy appetizers at a ramen centric restaurant with my two sons and their partners (one married, one with a GF).  Great groceries.
    Happy Friday, all.
