Ugh.  For the only root canal I've ever had, the office's Muzak system was stuck, and it played "I only have eyes for you" on constant repeat.  It's kind've a depressing-sounding song anyway, then to listen to it over and over for 2.5 hours, ugh!

Enjoying what is the beginning of a quiet Christmas on this end. SWMBO and SWMBO jr both flu and strep positive. There will be no holiday gatherings attended or hosted as planned. Gumbo for Christmas Eve and a prime packer (already been defrosted for 6 days) for Christmas Day. Good eats and brown water await the healthy

This made me laugh quite hard.

Sorry for your pain though. I’m sure it wasn’t fun at the time. Don’t they put songs on repeat like that as a form of torture? 😂 And you couldn’t even sing along. 😂😂

One of the hygienists even remarked, "Does this song ever end?!?"  I really wanted to say something, but had 26 clamps, a block of wood, and a firehose and vacuum in my mouth, (along with a dentist and his high-speed auger bit) so I couldn't.

Gumbo rolling, just trimmed and seasoned the prime packer for a pre-Santa passing blast off. Wife and daughter not so sick today, we still won’t risk mixing till the weekend. Enjoy the time with your family folks

Never had one shaped quite like this. Will not be a problem fitting on the large.

buying Nintendo subscriptions for the kid's devices.  the fact that the Nintendo site is actually *much* better than other game sites is no consolation that it is a horrible horrible site. To buy funds (say $80) you need to do it in their amounts. so three purchase of $10, $20, then $50.  After a purchase you can't make another because the site returns "page not found" when you click on the button to add funds (same button as for the previous purchase).

Had to do the six purchases (three kids) in different incognito windows to get it to work.

This was to buy each of the kids the annual renewal for the online libraries which expire tomorrow. is there a button to "renew and pay" for the subscription? no. that would be easy. The subscription draws from your funds so you need to perform the interpretive dance I describe above.

There are gift cards to buy a subscription in one fell swoop, but the card is stamped with something about it not being used for renewals or something, so Auntie and Uncle sent money instead.

I have a year to sort this out for the next renewal cycle.

Safety feature so kids can’t spend $1500 on Fortnight without you knowing.

yeah, I have a guy for that and the VAR has two guys to back him up.  The M$ licencing main problem is the shifting definitions and licenses. One day a license will include Teams, and the next day you need a different license.  I accept that MS has become the defacto standard, but I wish they would use their powers for good not evil.

hmmm, should have checked out apple TV+, likely could have found it there. for the record, I found it where it was supposed to be. Really didn't expect it there, so didn't look there.

i'm a firm believer in physical media.  All my CD music is converted to flac, but I still have the media. the dvd/hddvd/blurays are still only physical. still have hundreds of LPs as well.

I’ve always loved that photograph; have a 24” photo framed/matted in my bedroom (properly oriented, of course  ).
