    I think the point is that Roseanne wasn't actually cancelled due to government pressure.

    Condoning and outrage are opposing reactions and yes I know nobody is condoning murder nor am I drawing and equivalency , It is just my opinion and how I see it

    If you saw someone that you did not know get killed right in front of you , there would be a different reaction

    Sheesh, this is the most I have ever commented in a non food thread, give me points for that LoL 
    I am always outraged by murder, I just don't express that in the same way, or in the same place - which is how I read the rest of America too. 

    I feel and express more outrage over senseless killing of children than I do, say gang members killing gang members. Some people put themselves more in the line of fire than others. Some are just pure, innocent, collateral damage.

    Level of outrage as a loyalty or purity test is a strange way to approach this.

    edit: but it's totally on brand for how this thread started.

    No what I am saying is that the government only told ABC to fire Kimmel, not Roseanne. The 1st amendment protects you from the government.  Roseanne was fired due to public backlash not government intervention. Any correlation between the two is a false equivalency.

    I find the assassination of Charlie Kirk terrible.  I do not find it scary.

    I find the government limiting free speech and trampling the constitution terrible and scary.

    Charlie Kirk’s death is a single man being killed.  Trampling the constitution is a travesty and impacting every single American.

    Both are illegal, but people seem to forget that.

    Being self employed for many many years , trust me, I know how a free market economy works .  I’m just saying, if he was the #1 rated show on TV , this would not have happened… I may be wrong ( and many of you know I am lol)

    It makes things a little easier when your ratings are down 72% from where they were 10 years ago.
