The silence here on this forum on this horrific event speaks volumes.   The forum has noted many RIP's for their contributions for various reasons, and even provided a platform to be snarky on Hulk Hogan or demeaning to "Cheetos", or just pure disrespectful on other values. But, someone who has done more for helping the youth of our country to see an alternative way of thinking, SILENCE. I fervently hope that his message and values continue to resonate  with our youth and make the needed change to the world of academia which will allow alternative thoughts and discussions for free thinking.

I would suggest @tomtnc that instead of lashing out at whoever you’re lashing out at for not throwing him a parade on this forum, just post your thoughts, honor him in your way and don’t judge ‘the forum’ for not doing whatever you expect and call it disrespect.  I think you’re mad at a windmill you call ‘libs’ and that’s a lazy, stereotyping waste of your valuable time.  I don’t know anyone cheering this murder and I don’t know who killed him or why.

You sir are correct. It didn’t take me long to see what kind of people run this site. There’s no need to call names because from what I’ve seen the majority are all hate filled humans. They may not do it on here but I believe most of them celebrated his death. 

The left has indoctrinated a generation. The media and democrat party has started the war that will not end well for any of us. I believe retaliation will start to increase and it’s going to get ugly. God help us.

One agree from me. There should be no space for hate.  Nor,  any space to be gleeful about the death of someone, despite any disagreement with thought/opinion. 

But, there should also be no space for celebration of hate. Killing people is not the way to go about that, though.

in all seriousness it was a tragic event.  one of many tragic events.  sucks!!!  we are better than this when we choose to be (and make the humble effort to be).  invest in people until it hurts then invest some more.  let divisive behaviors run out of steam.  giving them an audience is cheap.  make them earn the good.  it's hard.

If the impact affects one is such a way to commit a violent act, it validates psychological assistance and help.

Do we know if this was an attack on freedom of speech? Not sure we know the why yet.

I think of attacks on freedom of speech to be more systematic, suppressing the freedom of the press, censorship, etc.
