Probably a good place to memorialize his views and positions on many topics.  It is what he would have wanted.  These have the clips attached with links to ensure accuracy and transparency of his views.

When you can't justify your stance or position with sound logic you just resort to violence or chicken $hit cowardice to defend your weak a$$ views.
And here we are.  F' me.
The dumbing down of this country is accelerating.  We are not remotely close to the bottom.

The First Amendment generally speaking ( but directly applies here) does not apply to the workplace , that being said it is a For Profit business. Why would a For Profit Company whether privately or publicly held want to alienate a huge potential customer base. This is why religion politics etc have no place in the workplace. If one of my Bartenders or Technicians brought this to work and cost me customers I would gladly show them the door

Not everything is politics but many want to make it that way

Problem is Trump suing every news and media organization that questions him.  ABC did the math and said better to have Trump on their side than have him suing them or threatening to pull their FCC license - that is the problem.  Direct violation of the 1st Ammendment.

Trump even commented on ABC doing the “right” thing about Kimmel.

nexstar wants an abc merger and needs the approval of the doj and the fcc. kicking kimmel to the curve is probably the right option for that to happen in todays world. big money verse freedom of speech of one comedian has-been. the merger probably wont happen anyways......

I think I figured out the key to happiness

    A) Tell yourself both sides do this

B )These comedians crossed a line by criticizing the government

    C) I wasn't paying attention, that doesn't sound right

    D) This won't effect me, I voted for him

    E) Censorship isn't bad, if they can prevent the negative stuff we'll all get along better. Censorship will heal our country

But clearly you can see the difference between Kimmel getting canned because ABC thought his comments would kill ratings vs. the government pressuring them to can him, right?

While nominally both things would be “bad for business” only one of these is actually OK.

Absolutely.  On the one hand, we have government pressuring companies to censor certain speech.  On the other, we have companies that ... are caving to that pressure.  Not a good look for anyone involved.

    F) be an ostrich

My son is getting married this weekend. My three kids and two grandkids are here with us. I worry for all of them and I'm sad for them starting this life with the direction this country is being taken. I guess I could just ignore it all and tell them to be happy, but that's not really what the spirit of this country is, ignorant, happy compliance. At least we don't have to worry about pronouns!

So you are literally saying I am just burying my head in the sand,  LoL , Choosing to being happy does not equate to ignoring things...

Edit: I will add when I went through a divorce some 25 years ago I had an attorney tell me my "Gandhi" approach to life will get me nowhere just because I did not want to fight and insist that well sell our business , home, rentals etc, I said no

    Well, Here I am

I'm a happy person, Larry.  My happiness isn't based on politics or television.

What I don't understand is the degree of industrial strength cope here. I let a lot of things go, but not this. You care about your kids and want them to be happy too - that's what scares and motivates me about this country right now. I care about things that matter to me.

Ghandi pushed for change through nonviolent protest, civil disobedience like boycotts, marches, demonstrations, rallying the populace, etc. he resisted, he just wasn't violent.

I don't espouse violence, I'm just talking. I think your attorney had it wrong.

I do have kids, new grandchild and I fully trust they will be OK, they say a real near death experience will change you, February 19 2009 was mine, ( motorcycle accident) 3 Months UCLA and 2 years in and out of hospital after that , having your kids and family come to your room to "say there goodbyes" before surgery was one of the hardest things I ever did , my life has never been the same ever since, anger , stress worry have never ever been back

I’m thankful you took a different approach to the experience - I had a close friend go through a similar experience, let’s just say his near death experience did not lead to the same place yours did.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.
