Waiting for my COVID shot - will see if they let me get it or not.  Trying to get in before the CDC meets tomorrow and Kennedy overrules states rights.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Good call.  I would hate to get collectively botched out for not properly documenting a passing in the right way.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Hopefully I just walked out of a Huntington Bank for the last time. Ever.

checking out the shrinkflation for this years eggtoberfest tickets. $90 and the general public get 11a-3p instead of 10a-4p. vip get air conditioning and a 10a entry for $175. cook tickets starting to get a little more interesting!
happy to admit i was wrong on the shrinkflation. vip tickets are sold out!

for the cost conscious, there is also now a buy one get one 50% off deal that gets you to a $71 ticket

    oct 4th. 11a-3p

    anyone going?

Indeed. Pain 18 months later. Another MRI reveals calcification and scar tissue in the joint. Radiology report and Ortho have differing views of the ligament damage. Report says thinning. Doc says partial tear. So we’ll do a scope first to remove calcification and scar tissue and view the ligament with the scope cam and go from there. My wife isn’t happy about “making the decision” on the ligament procedure while I’m under.

Where do I post a functional question / feedback about the forum?

That question / feedback is,  why is the word 'posts' used to mean two different things on the profile page?

Yes, such things intrigue me.  Please now carry now with your day.

Is 4 games sufficient to reliably project a season?  10% can be construed as an indicative sample size especially when blended with player pay data.  But we’re better than that. We know  stats, data and facts are mere bagatelle because football is about unabashed emotion and other such wholly baseless premise. Let’s not read the room, let’s just get stuck in.   Oh, and remarkably none of the promoted clubs are in the bottom three!  Long may that continue.

    Saturday

Liverpool vs Everton - the Reds are just better than almost every other team and as improved as the Toffees are, they’re still no match for their neighbours. 2-0

Brighton vs Spurs - better but still unpredictable, Spurs head down to the filthy Seagulls who are something of a mixed bag this year. All three results very much on the table, so heart rules head and 0-2 please.

Burnley vs Forest  - turmoil at Forest was entirely predictable when fun-time Ange took the reins. Much as I like the cut of his jib, the step is retrograde and this game  may be a rude awakening for the Forest faithful.  The Clarets are no pushover so at least a draw, with the sniff of a home win. 2-1

West Ham vs  Palace - another week another banana skin alert.  The Mighty Eagles are in the best form of their history, 15 unbeaten - and the pain of delayed dejection is becoming unbearable.  The Hammers are all at sea and the fans are planning a protest.  Cue inevitable movie third act reprise via a massive win.  The whole world is saying Palace to win,  but as a lifelong Palace fan I am saying 1-1.

Wolves vs Leeds - tricky times for Leeds but 4 points on the board, while Wolves are point-free and just two goals to their name. An away win for the Dirty Leeds is not unexpected and could be the filip they need, while seriously testing the tenability of Wolves current leadership.  0-1, just for fun.

Man United vs Chelsea - 31 games and 31 points for Utd under Amorim, that’s relegation form - had it been within one season. What did Scotty say “Cap’n she’s gonna blow!” well something has to give for Utd.  But never mind, they sacked a lot of staff and made loads of money last year, so there’s that.  Chelsea are unbeaten and there’s no luck about that, 0-2

Fulham vs Brentford  - 11th host 12th and that could well be where these two end up.  This is beige v grey  — or perhaps taupe v vanilla?    Unless ET makes a surprise appearance or oil suddenly spurts out of the middle of the pitch, no does or will one care. 1-1

    Sunday

Bournemouth vs Newcastle - the Eddie Howe derby and he could struggle for a result with his Toon, as his former employers are 3 wins from the last 3.  2-1, although side bet on the draw.

Sunderland vs Villa – the Maccems are good for their seven point haul while Villa are yet to score a goal this season.  Ominous for one team, optimism abounds for the other.  Should be fun, 0-2 and Unai under huge pressure after two very good seasons.

In arguably more important news, will this weekend be the final mow of my lawn?  Last year we went deep in to October, albeit that was a tactical choice to simultaneously gather fallen leaves and acorns, facilitated by unusually dry weather.  Stay tuned for updates from the scene as this dramatic story unfolds.

Day two of honey extraction. We are going to call it “no spill Sunday” wish me luck
    How's the harvest this year?

We have a rare sap cycle going on with some Linden trees. They're all covered in yellow jackets. The sap is dripping all over the place and these bees or yellow jackets are all over them. They're acting drunk. They're not aggressive.

Good luck on no spill Sunday.
