Made a particularly virulent batch of tepache , tried to put it in the freezer to tame the carbonation - made tepache slushie instead.  I though being splattered with room temp tepache was bad, ice cold tepache was worse 🤣

Decided to take a brisk, two hour walk with our kids on this beautiful day. Somehow ended up picking up an additional four neighbourhood kids along the way (with an extra three who wanted to join but couldn’t) - hadn’t invited any. Stopped for a treat at the midway point. Kids ranged in age from six to 12.

Not a single complaint within earshot, even during the final stretch on the return home…

It seems as if overnight, ladies in my neighborhood are wearing weighted vests. I think I saw 6 in one day!  It was a little brisk here too.

Once a week, I will throw on my outer carrier on with my rifle mags and put the treadmill on the highest incline (10) and walk for 30 minutes. I’m about dead after that.

I had heard on a podcast recently that you know you’re in a good socioeconomic status when you see a bunch of middle aged people walking with weighted vests. Life is too easy and people are yearning for some sort of adversity.

Replaced the water pump at the camp and added unions to make easier next time. Next week get to replace the new defective union in the back.

I'm assuming Karen ballsnatcher will be a popular Halloween costume this year. Maybe I already said it on here but I had told my buddies that I don't think wig manufacturers will be able to keep up with demand.

Ooof, very true - I am so conflicted, on one hand I want to believe this is an isolated incident driven by multiple different things going on in her life and at this specific time, in which case being pilloried is unfair - on the other hand, I suspect this isn’t isolated and represents a pattern of behavior and she is getting her just rewards.

Fortunately I am neither judge, jury, nor executioner and will sit on the sidelines and watch.

As ‘Cap says, better lucky than good.

I ordered a kettlebell from Walmart last weekend. It shipped and the day after I got an email from Walmart that said a return and refund was being issued. I got the money back in my account yesterday. I figured they cancelled the order as I’ve had that problem with them before. UPS man just dropped the kettlebell off at the house.

An international break and the transfer window has slammed shut so we embark upon the season proper.  Soon we will discover which team went too soon and are left encumbered with a wedge shaped ring rather than a svelte gasket hugger. Sometimes hiding amongst the pack saves you, sometimes you need to hold firm*.

Still too soon to discern false promise from main event credentials so teams can’t afford to dawdle, they must accumulate points wherever they can.

    Tomorrow

Arsenal v Forest, the pantomime villain owner of Forest has sacked the manager and brought in Fun-time Ange, who is heady blend of Greek and Aussie.  He loves goals and is unconcerned about whether thats for or against his team. the Gunners are screaming also-rans already.  2-1

Bournemouth v Brighton, the well run hidden in plain view Cherries are producing more of the same.  The media darling fetid Seagulls face mid-table obscurity all season, whether their vanity can sustain that is the muddle factor to (hopefully) spark implosion. Anyhoo, 1-1.

Palace v Sunderland, the very definition of a banana skin match.  Palace are shorn of talent by injury and wobbled out the back of the transfer season.  The Maccems have approached the season with abandon. Last time this was 0-4 (in 2017) and while I don’t see that I would take a draw right now. 1-1

Everton v Villa,  all is groovy for the Toffees while all is very much not groovy for Villa.  Hard to see beyond a home win and much soul-searching for Unai’s men afterwards. 2-0

Fulham v Leeds, dirty Leeds are finding life with the big-boys a bit tougher than they hoped and this game will be indicative of their immediate future. Fulham ain’t all that but are better in every position than their guests.  Can’t exclude a shock away win, but 9 times form 10 this is 2-0

Newcastle v Wolves, The Old Gold are struggling and sooner or later the Toon will hit their straps.  Could be here, 3-0

West Ham v Spurs, Spurs are being bubbled through active carbon to de-Spursy-fy them.  The Hammers are resolutely unpredictable. Could be 9-9, could be 0-0. Will be cagey, will have goals. 1-1

Brentford v Chelsea, the Blues are everyone’s side-bet for the title and easing to a clear win here will underscore that. 0-2 and for the first time since Roman was moved along the good time could well be back.

    Sunday

Burnley v Liverpool, well the Clarets will try and will also get to see the likely champions up close, for free. 0-3

Man City v Man Utd, all we know for certain is that one or more inquests will follow this. Neither team close to their pomp or even cohesive. Both manages looking untenable int he long term, albeit Pep has far less reason to be house hunting elsewhere.   Could be the tale of two new goalkeepers and Citeh have the edge. 2-1

Does it feel like sliding in to comfy old shoes again now?

I had a package arrive after 6 months or so. I had already received the replacement and forgotten about the one that was lost. Amazon let me know within a day of delivery to ship it back or get charged. It was a 250 dollar router though.
