    its pretty typical for an ir to read really low on shiny surfaces like stainless. the emissivity settings dont really work well with shiny. i do us ir therms to find hotter and cooler areas on piping, water cooling jackets on tanks/vessels etc and with the reflection and curved sections you never get a great reading. big difference between dry cast iron and the same pan with oil in it, the oil shines

    Everything is coming together after all these years.  I have wanted a nice woodshed and planted the seed with my wife about 5 years ago. Now that we have about 9 cords of wood split and stack and under crappy tarps, my wife came out today she said she does not like piles here and there under “ratty” tarps. She asked me for ideas for the shed I had in mind.   He he he he…. 
    Wow, that was a project. That’s a life time of wood for my fire pit.

    Just finished the complete gutting and clean out of my SBGE.  Now good to go for quite a while.
