    Yes!

(Why do I not see others rejoicing with me?)
Add me to the rejoicing list.  Both for the return of these summaries and Eze achieving his boyhood dream.
Ouch, give with one hand and take with the other.   =)
No, you're right - we knew Eze was passing through, like Olise did and Guehi will.   Attracting the stellar talent in their trajectory to the top is as good as Palace can achieve, and we ride that wave.   Wharton is another on that convey right now.

Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

Finished adding the names to the cuts of meat this morning. If any of you read Chinese I apologize in advance for my poor spelling and calligraphy. I was copying from a blurry photo.

Whether you like it, hate it or just don’t give a damn, the
Taylor Swift effect is real. My wife actually likes to have football on now. She even bought the NFL Sunday Ticket just to ensure that she can watch all the Chiefs games. So when she told me to get a bigger TV for the garage (our preferred Fall/Winter place to hang out) I jumped. 75” should be good.

I am always learning something new on the forum… when I saw how pleased you were with your new TV I suggested to my DH this morning we should get a larger set. You would have thought he just had a date with Stevie Nicks he was so happy. Went from 55 to 85,  hope we can get it hooked up before the games start this morning. Who knew it was that easy?!?
You would probably get a similar response if you suggest that he get a bigger grill or boat or faster car or bigger stereo speakers or amp or ...

I think boat is the only thing on that list that might work, but we are not exactly in the land of amazing water sports 🤣 edit: also if you haven't noticed I’m the griller in the house 😏

@lkapigian I’m not saying I should be invited, but I could easily help you get that cleared up.

A favorite fall day.  Went to the grocer yesterday morning for my annual bushel, they weren't going to start roasting until noon.  I returned at noon and the line was 35 people deep!   :o  I remembered a small farm stand nearby also roasted chile, went there, only Saturdays.  Showed up at noon today and got my bushel, no line.  Also, they only charged me $20, the grocer charged me $35 last year.

Instead of letting them steam for an hour as I usually do, I tried icing them as someone here mentioned (can't remember who but Thank You!) Threw two bags of ice on them and let them sit an hour, then poured off the ice water (everything was fully chilled down).  Lookee there, they practically peeled themselves!  They're bagged and put in the freezer, won't overwork my old freezer as they were already cold, neat!  They didn't carryover-cook to mush like they sometimes do steaming, nice and firm; so I may try making relleños again with them, made a mess with the softer chiles in the past.
Thanks for the reminder. I noticed Smiths had their roasters out last weekend.

I had forgotten how good a brisket smells at daybreak.
This brisket has stalled at 180F for about 6 hrs even when paper wrapped.

When the Cap says the cow drives the cook, little did I know that it would be like a cab ride in Rome.

That sounds more like a cab ride in Havana 😂. Hot but not the right kinda hot.

Never had a cab ride in Havana so I can't compare.  I can say horn, power and brakes with no eye contact are the basic Rome survival skills.  (Can apply to any city in Italy...especially Napoli. )

Seems like a great day for some expansion joint maintenance. Sand as a filler. Self leveling concrete repair top dressed with sand. It will get seal coated the next time we do the drive.

Also the monarch cats are getting chunky

I think my Thermoworks IR thermometer is on the blink.  Preheated a SS frypan to cook up some pork cubes, kept checking the pan temp but it didn't seem to rise past 220º or so.  I got nervous and poured in some peanut oil, and it started smoking immediately.
Smart Botch would've slid the pan to another burner, let the pan cool, dump the oil and start over, but Real Botch immediately dumped the pork out of the tray, thinking it'd cool the pan down.  I splashed pretty good, got my right wrist spattered, but at least was ready with my splatter screen.  Two dime-sized burns on my arm.
    Pork browned nicely.

Need to dig out the instructions and see if I'm doing something wrong (my personal Superpower is finding flaws in idiot-proofed products).  Happy Labor Day everyone!

They can see through certain materials if I'm not mistaken, and there's a offset you can program in that changes the frequency. Maybe that got accidentally changed.
