For some reason the shoes on the right remind me of this...GrateEggspectations said:Not technically a “fix”, but I love me some maintenance. Both of these pairs would probably be absolute garbage were it not for the upkeep. Even then, I am really pushing the lifespan - I think I’m 10+ years on both pairs. Love the (Canadian-made, leather-soled) boots and have two backup pairs in reserve. Now discontinued. Wore them in heavy rain while trimming trees last year and was told by a witness they’d never recover. They’ve even been subjected to winter and lots of salt. Anf yet they persist.

annual scrape and stain of the back deck. only 12x9, but it gets complicated with the firepit I won't move and the LBGE that I roll into a corner to be stained at a later date.~~

As for the siblings, I won’t confirm nor deny! -
Tearing out my wooden deck and replacing it with trex was worth every penny; I abhorred that chore.zaphod said:annual scrape and stain of the back deck. only 12x9, but it gets complicated with the firepit I won't move and the LBGE that I roll into a corner to be stained at a later date."First method of estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him."

Somewhere on the list is tearing out my rotten ground level deck and replacing it with a concrete or paver patio. I can’t believe that the previous owners thought a wooden deck only 6 inches above the backyard was a good idea.

With you on this. We have a low-ish deck - albeit not as low as yours, and don’t see the downside to making the move to ground level pavers. More privacy and less maintenance. Plus, give the yard a more expansive feeling and makes mowing and such easier.Gulfcoastguy said:Somewhere on the list is tearing out my rotten ground level deck and replacing it with a concrete or paver patio. I know how brick pavers and concrete patios or sidewalks should be done. I had both on several public rest area and weigh station contracts that I supervised. I know a decorative concrete contractor that I might give the contract to eventually. We have done dyed concrete or maybe stamped concrete with them.GrateEggspectations said:

I’m curious as to what the cost difference is between the 6 lead acid versus the lithium. Ours is on the last leg of its battery lifebradleya123 said:Converting the Golf Cart from Lead-Acid to Lithium...so much nicer! No maintenance and it goes forever!!

Lead batteries are usually an 18 month warranty where the lithium is 8 years. I paid $2200 for the Lithium.ColbyLang said:

Old Ford tractor. Kubota tractor blew a seal (hopefully that's all) in the front axle. The old standby needed a fresh battery. Dealer picking up Kubota tomorrow. I don't have time for that.Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -
Big improvement. I like the symmetry between the white trim on the windows and the white trim around the door. Looks meant to be.xfire_ATX said:New Front Door
We did all of our door$ and window$ last year and love the symmetry it created. We had some windows that were original from the 50s. No regrets about our choices. -
There is also symmetry between the new square door glass and the square glass panels surrounding the door.

I drove up on a guy who had been trying to back a tandem dually gooseneck full of trusses onto a job site, blocking the road, after a few minutes he gave up and waved me through (I have no idea how long he had been at it). I rolled my window down and asked if I could help guide, he asked if I could just back it in for him….. umm yeah I think so. It was probably a 7-8 skill level backing job but I got him where he wanted to go.South of Columbus, Ohio.
