Mercedes was the biggest joke of all. Terrible interior, outdated tech, cheap leather, and every single car that was outside had rotors that looked like this. Even the Maybach rotors were this bad.

Every time we test drove a Mercedes I felt like I should have a poodle in my lap and be looking for Grey Poupon. I had a ML320 for a number of years and it was a nice car. It was built like a tank with nice leather, the cup holders were in front of the vents though (blowing AC on your coffee or heat on your pop*) and it had a 11 gallon fuel tank with a similar mpg so I was always nervous like the battery car folks. Spot rust on rotors would not bother me, they just need to be driven, I remember seeing new cars with temporary plastic rotor covers to hide that spot rust but i don't remember where and they looked worse/silly.

The Q8s are very very nice, same exact platform too, did they have a Cayenne S or Turbo models in? I find those more comparable to the Q8.DoubleEgger said:
Man I’m just busting your chops. I stopped in to look at the Cayenne models while vehicle shopping this afternoon. I was surprised but I like my Q8 a lot better.Ozzie_Isaac said:
Turbo S! My man! That is my dream machine, even more than a GT3RS!DoubleEgger said:Ozzie_Isaac said:

Yeah they had all of them including a $180k variant. It felt like the Cayenne was a minimum of $25k more expensive than the Q8 for basically the same car.Ozzie_Isaac said:The Q8s are very very nice, same exact platform too, did they have a Cayenne S or Turbo models in? The wife really wanted an RS Q8, but none were available at the time. I lobbied hard for the Porsche, however, I agree with you on your assessment of the Q8, it is a banger of a SUV.DoubleEgger said:

I went to five dealerships in the last two days and MB was the only one with any rotor rust. I saw zero rust elsewhere. They must be using a different metal compound than every one else.alaskanassasin said:DoubleEgger said:Mercedes was the biggest joke of all. I'm wondering if it's even visible in the rear-view mirror in the truck in front.GrateEggspectations said:

@dbCooper
I have seen these types of pipes on heavily modified cars, and I guess they can have their charm for some in that context, but I wonder what would compel an individual to put them on an apparently stock Hyundai (Elantra?).Live and let live. -

They sure seemed out of place to me. Ride height was lowered so maybe other mods too. Maybe a V8 in the front!
