Since Liam still moves amongst us, could you call that a near miss?

Indeed.  It’s good to know he has a career in sketch comedy if the music thing doesn’t work out.

CBS Saturday Morning had a fascinating segment about a new "sport" called Geoguessr.  Basically it's a worldwide group of folks with no life, and photographic memories (it's a thing, I've met two).  They basically visit as many places as possible via Google Streetview, and using all kinds of clues like sidewalks, license plates, utility pole markings, soil, vegetation, etc, they're able to memorize where that place is, and can identify a location shown to them within a second.  I was a bit flabbergasted.

The CBS News website doesn't like my ad blockers, so I wasn't able to grab a link to this story, but I did find one from Wired magazine, posted below.  The CBS story had a cool blurb about an orphaned/adopted guy who didn't know his Mom's name, or where she was from; all he had was a single photograph of her.  A Geoguessr was able to identify the mountain behind her in the photograph, the town in Europe, and armed with his Mom's photo found locals who could identify her and introduce him to his relatives!!  This was just fascinating to me.

It's kinda fun to go to https://www.google.com/streetview/ and type in your own address, and see your own home as anyone in the world can:

My place has lotsa street appeal   The two boulevard trees are both dead/gone now, and I will be replacing the grass in the boulevard with crushed rock, and three ornamental grasses (lotsa homes in my neighborhood are going to xeriscape/desert, with the climate change).

@fishlessman - I know you have a appreciation for classic wooden boats.  This is on a whole different level than the the ones I have seen.

its clinker constructed (lapstrake) very light compared to the construction of the boat you posted. this one is a 1966 sebago runabout/ski boat. takes about a week to soak it til it swells enough to float. volvo p1800 engine still works, the 1966 p1800 was the engine that someone drove for 3.2 million miles, this one still starts right up. right now its just being stored in the garage for a future project if i ever get the time. it was originally built just down the street from the camp. pbucket has a ransom on the better pics, this is the only one left i could find online

LEGO built a full-scale, drivable McLaren P1 model

It can't hit 217 mph, but it did complete a lap at the Silverstone Circuit.

Didn't really know where to post it, didn't want to take a chance of turning the Exotic Cars thread political.

@Ike Given a Friday night I would hold off til Saturday mid-day and then give the post a slick name and make it a stand-alone thread on the main board.
I figure it will definitely survive the weekend and beyond especially if you toss in BGE somewhere in the title.  I would go straight with Walz.  Harris is too easy.
"Walz and tuning a 1979 IH Scout while pining for a BGE here in Minnesota?" I'm sure in the cold light of day things will become much more clear.  FWIW-

    **** showing for US automakers.

Buick is kind of surprising in that it's separated from GM/Chevy when you see how Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura are clustered.  I don't know if the Buick demographic is the same as it used to be, probably skews a little younger now, but was wondering if driving temperament accounts for that difference.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

I was kind of surprised to see the Mini positioned where it is.

Odd that the ranking is for cars and Buick no longer makes those, full lineup is SUV's.  Similar with GMC and Jeep being ranked on there while only making trucks/SUV's.
